Have you ever imagined if this world was almost exactly like FF? To have magic and adventure? Which aspects would you be excited about and which would you hate? Is there a series you would be most excited it would be similar too?
Have you imagined how f'ed up it would be? I mean seriously screwed up. To me it would be horrifying in a way. There are so many douchebags out there. Some ass hole is likely to run up to people and cast blind on them to see them trip and bust their face. We would constantly be worrying about Meteor, Ultima, Doomsday, etc. If it was like VIII, you would never be able to draw from a draw point because they would be constantly empty or some greedy sons of bitches (Shumi) would be charging 5 grand for a Sleep draw claiming it was Ultima. Or if it was like VII, they had out Materia like it was damn candy, yeah they are pricey, but some how people are able to get guns in this universe. I see some guy in a trench coat standing in a dark alley coming up and trying to sell people Materia for cheap.
This is getting long so I'll end it here, but yeah it would be interesting to hear your thoughts, or anyone for that matter.

I would hate to have random people just walk into my house and go through all my shit. Go through everything, open your chests, take your weapons and items, and leave. Apparently theft is not a crime in FF. They changed that in VIII, no more stealing. On the same topic. Some villagers have some decent gear in chests at their house. That is, until you come along and take it. That weapon may have been their livelihood. Now they can't step outside without being torn a new one. How do villages survive these worlds?

Maybe that's how they survive these places. Borderlands New-U station-esque things. Well I guess maybe some good samaritan could drag your body to a temple and pay the atrocious fee for revival. Then again, maybe it's not atrocious if we think about medical bills now.

Do you think there could be faulty Materia? I mean it's one thing to equip it to your weapon, but if you take the Advent Children approach to it you have to insert it into your body. Say you buy the Materia from the sketchy guy in the back alley. When you go into battle and that faulty Materia back fires, your arm turns into a red mist. Then the only acceptable solution, per FF universe, is to get a gun grafted on. Most people will say I am never going to buy Materia from a sketchy man in a dark alley again. But some will say if I got to another sketchy man in a dark alley, I should be okay. Now you have explosive chopsticks for arms and picking anything up is a pain in the ass.

Or is it naturally occurring, naturally occurring i would have to assume it is stable(as most natural occurring element are usually stable). But if it is manufactured i definitely agree could be some serious fuck ups. I know Shinra harnesses Mako and that Mako could somehow create Materia as you find some at the Reactor heart. But it never appeared they made the Materia, seemed more like it was just a by product. Of course i haven't played anything related to 7, other then the main game so maybe it is explained in the many spin offs.

I'm sure they would have found was to make synthetic Materia. At the same time, not all natural products are stable. Petroleum is volatile if given the right situation and that's natural. Mutations occur in nature everyday and it's not out of the realm of possibilities that a Materia is more volatile than normal. Regardless of the technicalities, I don't know how I feel about injecting concentrated lifestream into my arm. Then again if we go with VIII, IX, or a class system we won't have to worry about our limbs exploding. VIII would mean you need to somehow get a massive beast on your team, IX would make you broke buying all that gear, and the class system would entail you stepping out of your house and braving the beasts that want to rip out your heart. It's a lose-lose situation, haha.

Survival of the fittest maybe the people in these worlds can survive in them is because all the weak people have been killed off, almost all the ff games seem to have fewer people then you would imagine and the people that survive are the strongest fastest most agile. Either way nice concept and idea lol would kill to be able to see a regular person just cast magic lol

It would be an interesting world with almost limitless possibilities. But if someone had a bad day all they would have to say is screw it and cast doomsday. Then you will hear the story of the one guy who just so happened to be wearing his armor that protected against shadow element. On a side note, when I played FFIX with my brother he would play as Vivi and randomly cast Doomsday when we were fighting. It was frustrating and hilarious at the same time. Especially when it was against something like a simple Mu.

When i was young i was the same way, i felt like since I have it why not use everything i had, specifically have a love for all blue magic characters and using there entire arsenal :-)
