They make it sound uncomfortable. Is it? Wearing jeans at the gym? It depends on what you are doing. Cardiovascular and stretching are pretty brutal in jeans and can lead to very embarrassing tears. Lifting and strength training are actually not that bad in jeans.

Get home. Pants off. So, so overrated. I much prefer the job that requires me to take my pants off. Wait, I don't think I phrased that correctly.

I totally skipped the gym this morning, since I was out late last night with friends playing Munchkin. I also plan on going to a local fair tonight to search out legendary deep fried Oreos. I know I cannot out-exercise bad eating habits. This fair is also offering frozen chocolate covered cheesecake. 'Murica. Why does everything you say sound like absolute pure american gold, Being shot out of the throut of a bald eagle wrapped in the american flag and and completely deep fried iced over bliss.

I personally don't go to the gym. I do outside cardio jog "Everyday"!!!!! My folks buy their own equipment and have it at home. I thought about a gym membership but found my finances were lacking in funds. So I just gave up on the idea and just buckled down and started running everyday. I am a month in and I feel a million times better than when I started. I am working on a workout program for myself to get myself on a system now that I have made the commitment to the habit of working out. Here is my plan. ....

Because I'm all about 'Murica. Waterboarding is when we baptize the terrorists in freedom.

The gym....I've been battling with it for the past few months. I have a membership at a local place, unfortunately it's the cheapest one I can find and it's 20 minutes away so that adds up to a 40 min drive there and back. Also because I'm not a morning person I have to go after work which is insanely difficult to do because once I get home I just want to lay down and veg. So, does anyone have any methods for motivation? I've lost it all, when it comes to visiting the gym. I want to stay fit and be healthy but honestly I just hate working out. I'm an average size even bordering on thin woman, but I'd still like to build up muscle and feel healthy and better about myself. If and when I go to the gym, I typically do cardio for 20-30 mins, usually a treadmill or elliptical. Then I focus on different areas of the body, for instance once day I'll do arms and shoulders, the next legs and lower back.

I am also not a morning person, but I assure you that getting up and going early in the morning is the best feeling ever. The best piece of advice I can offer is to work on no snoozing. Set your alarm for a certain time, get up right off, go to the gym and do the rest of your day. Try it for a week. Your motivation will come from exercising your willpower and mind as much as your body. I will warn you, you will be starving if you don't eat after a morning g workout. A hunger like you've never experienced.
If you want general toning, look into doing circuits. My gym is a ghost town at 6. I can set up ten lifts/machines, do them all in rapid succession followed by a one minute breather. Rinse and repeat three to five times. Low weight high intensity can also get your heart rate high enough to double as cardio.

Just stick to it for 20 days and you will grow accustomed to it, you can break or form habits in 20 days time so stick to it for 20 days and then you will notice you will want to go because you grew accustomed to it.
