I don't know about anyone else, but I found that the worst time for Dieting is right when you graduate. There's no money to buy good food and if you have a job it's not much right after college (some professions excluded). The most affordable food is pasta and PBJ. Which could feed you for a at least a week for under $20.
Did anyone else find this true as well?

Can't speak for your experience as i never finished college but the reasoning sound right and very easy for me to imagine, we all know that healthy food is generally more expensive so anyone with monetary restrictions would find it harder to eat good when funds are low. For myself I would say christmas/holiday season only because my family throws a few parties around that time with delicious food i can't say no to......

Every Holiday Season I increase my workouts since I KNOW I'm going to be eating a lot. Do an extra workout here and there and that excess food can turn into something wonderful. I used to do a home-workout right before Thanksgiving dinner. The food tastes better, you're less likely to eat until you burst, and all of those calories are now DOING something for you

I'm not sure how many people can attest to this as well, but I know there are a few. I've been with my wife since high school so we split holidays. We still do when we go back home. We are also both products of divorced households. So we ended up going to her mother's house, then her father's house, then her grandparent's house, then my grandparent's house where all of my family gathered except those that lived in another state. Each house had huge portions of food that we had to try and portion smaller. Even with small portions we ended up stuffed at the end of the night.

Maybe any kind of life change for me since certain foods represent the familiar and the stable. There are a few restaurants that I like to visit when I am stressed or know that I am about to partake in something stressful. I need to find better places to designate as constant comfort food and put those other places into once or twice a year comfort food.
Grading essays at Starbucks with a iced black tea instead of Del Taco with a handful of items and a cherry coke have helped shave off my usual ten pound teaching weight gain.

Grading essays at Starbucks with a iced black tea instead of Del Taco with a handful of items and a cherry coke have helped shave off my usual ten pound teaching weight gain. That's probably the most important thing. When I lived in the south there were a lot of comfort foods being made and when you live in a household that makes delicious comfort food, it's hard to keep weight off. Especially since the favorite pastime is gaming. I've never gone over a certain weight, but I too have tried to substitute things in my life to help keep weight off as I get older. I'm young, but I have to prepare for it, haha. I never take the elevator and I only eat a minimal amount during lunch to keep my energy up. I sit at a desk all day and the last thing I need is a big lunch. I learned that quick from going from a labor job to a desk job.

The worst time for dieting is all the time. Has anyone else noticed that the first three letters of diet are die? Nope.

Next time anyone is hungry, just look at how something is made and maybe your appetite will vanish.
