I cried when I finished Dirge of Cerberus - when I realized that I paid full price for half a game. I cried again when I realized that Square made FF12 and FF13 on purpose. Now I cry every time a new game comes out as an action game. Except for 14. I cried because I can't play that one on my computer.
Before that, only the suicide scene in FF6 brought some tears to my eyes.

The FF8 ragnarok scene when Rinoa was crying and did not want to go back to earth because they were going to take her away for being the soceress. She just wanted to stay in that moment because she thought everyone was going to hate her when she got back.
The Sazh & Vanille scene in FF13.
I probably did the first time Aerith died, but I don't remember. She was in my original party, so i did have a lot of extra scenes with her.
I teared up during the opera scene in FF6. Just beautiful I guess.

Part of the reason I have a crazy connection and obsession with FFVIII is because it made me cry! (Ok that and it was sort of the first RPG I put a ton of time into and completed annnnnnnd I made a very special friend who lives far away because of our love of FF8). I cried at the ending, well because it was OVER! And I loved seeing the conclusion of the journey these friends took. It was so fun to see how much Squall changed over the course of the game and when he's back on the balcony with Rinoa (after you sort of think he might be dead? or not around) I lost it!
Also the part in FF8 when Rinoa is floating out in space thinking she's going to die, UGH! Her breathing....as it's slowing down and the rings....I can't even handle it.
Ahem. I also might've teared up at the ending of FFX like most others. It was insanely emotional, especially when Tidus is hugging Yuna and and and....disappears T_T just that feeling of how close they had become knowing he was just a dream/memory. I know it's torture but I loved reliving the ending while I was playing the HD remake.

I cried at the ending, well because it was OVER! This is usually the only way that games hit me hard. It's rare that a game will make me sad from the story, or make me cry. But when I've spent tons of time with a game and finally finish it, like the hours and hours I spent on Super Mario 64 in my youth, then I usually get a big painful pit in my stomach and start feeling emotional. It depends a lot on how long I spent with the game though. Like I recently played Fallout 3 to completion for the first time, but at the end I didn't really feel anything, because I only played it for a week or so. It may also have to do with me being in my mid-20s and not getting as emotionally invested into games anymore.

The XIII trilogy has an easy job of it considering it's basically acting. I've never actually cried but there were plenty of moments in the entire FF series where they were very emotional and tear worthy. IMO there was nothing worse than the end of XIII-2. If I had to rattle off a few more: FFVII RedXIII and Seto, FFIV Edge killing his parents, FFVI Edgar and Sabin about their parents and Locke and Rachel, FFXIII Vanille and Fang turning to crystal, FFT Ramza vs Zalbag, and of course Gabranth dying next to Basch in FFXII.

There is only a few movies/ media that have made me cry. I got kinda emotional about Crisis Core, not because of the ending just the fact that the majority of characters that you are building an attachment to are dead. Also the ending of FFIX, Vivi's monologue as he's "stopping" was intense. I did laugh at Yuna falling face first when she goes to embrace Tidus at the end of FFX. Also Celes throwing herself. I could not emotionally invest at all with FFVI. Things that do- The ending to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- "Meet me in Montauk." and the house crumbling gets me every goddamn time. Most instrumental covers of Motion Picture Soundtrack by Radiohead. Every time. I was once in the NYC subway and a group of musicians playing brass instruments covered it. It took all my effort to not lose my shit.

Also Motion Picture Soundtrack is possibly my favourite Radiohead song (which puts it high in the running for favourite song ever).

I've never cried in a final fantasy. But whenever I've played any of the mainline ffs i always get choked up at the end of them. It's a sort of "I cant believe this is all over" type of thing for me. The closest I've came to crying though would be the ffX ending
