1.Fallout 3 2.Gears of War 3 3.Shadow of the Colossus 4.DDR (...yes.) 5.Tomb Raider 6.Silent Hill 7.Super Mario Bros 3 8.Katamari Damacy 9.Legend of Kage/Legend of Legaia
...this was surprisingly difficult.\ And I really want to include Legend of Legaia on here...super campy PS1 RPG with freaking martial arts and a kicking soundtrack. Maybe I'll just put it right there with Legend of Kage.... ...yup. They both start with Legend so...ya know.

Not ranked in any particular order...
Everquest/Everquest 2 This series had me hooked for basically a decade. I was REALLY into it for five years or so then dropped back to raiding only in EQ2.
Legacy of Kain : Soul Reaver This was the first game where I was like "Woah, you mean the world is open?"
Gauntlet Dark Legacy I spent just a sick amount of money on this game with friends in the arcade doing 4 player play throughs of the game.
Borderlands 2 Ahh borderlands 2. How I loved thee. Essentially the new Mad Max movie in video game form. If you've never played borderlands, then run out right now and play borderlands 2. You will not regret it.
Shadow of the Colossus Some of you on PSN might have seen me playing this about a month ago. This was the first game that I tried back in college through world of mouth. Someone was like "Shadow of the Colossus is unlike any game I ever tried" so I tried it. Shadow of the Colossus is unlike any game I ever tried. It really is that good. And better.
God of War There is something comforting about just laying waste to thousands of zombie spartans through sheer button mashing. Also that scene in one of the PSP ones where you literally have to push your crying daughter away. Geez.
Skyrim I would say that it took everything about Oblivion and improved on it. Just an overall awesome game. Well worth all of the hype.
Dark Souls I read up a bit on this game before I pulled the trigger on it. It was a hard game for sure, but extremely rewarding when you master the movement and combat mechanics.
Evolve I am so tired over the whining about Evolve. That game was sheer awesome (a pun wasted since most people don't even know the planet is called Shear). One of the coolest ideas for a game in a long time. I sunk a hundred hours into that game and I still play it once a week just to remind myself how awesome it was.

Kinda hard to pick i kinda feel like my list can shift based on my mood, also keep in mind my limited amount of opportunity to play new games.
- Super Mario RPG Legend of The 7 Stars(First RPG one of the best games ever) - Dragon Age: Orgins(Haven't played other 2 but first one is dam good) - Arc The Lad End of Darkness (So underrated) - Chrono Trigger (No explanation needed) - Starcraft(Haven't played the new one but big fan of this and the expansion) - Kingdom Hearts(First saw it though wtf and after the first hour was hooked) - Shogun Total War(Love strategy games) - Mario Kart (Any of them) - Donkey Kong Country (Used to spend days playing this with my sister)
All these games have re-playability, all i have logged more hours then i would like to think about back in the day, and all are stellar games in my opinion.
Alot of them may not hold up to newer games but i think the nostalgia of some pushes them up in my mind :-)

I liked the last level of the second game, 1 Million Roses- that took me forever, but was so much fun. Definitely a unique game, and I don't know about you, but the whole goofiness of the characters/soundtrack is what really sold it.
