Has anyone else tried to do Insanity? Joe and I did it for about a month once, probably a year ago now. It's way worse now. I don't weigh much more than I did back then, but I feel every ounce. I would recommend this plan if you want to get in great shape. And if you're insane.

I know that a group of my colleagues does it after school. I've never been able to participate due to my other job, but it always intrigued me.

I never tried Insanity, although I did used to do P90X. Never. Again. Culled some good recipes from the program, but I think that P90X and Crossfit are right up there with Biggest Loser and all the other shows you see hawking fix-it-quick videos.... They can be good for some people, but Bruce Lee said it best:
Long term consistency trumps short term intensity.

True, but not everyone has time to be as awesome as Bruce Lee.

True, but not everyone has time to be as awesome as Bruce Lee. What an aspiration to be like him though. I wI'll say that insanity is good short term but that level of intensity cannot be kept up. That's why a regular scheduled workout is more realistic and ultimately more effective. I like p90x and insanity for the boot camp approach though. It's a good starting place or even something to liven up the doldrums of a routine.

Yeah. That's why it's a two month program. After that, I lift!

I have p90x at home and tried it for a little while. It was far to much for me. I quit after 2 weeks,I could not keep up. I looked into insanity but if I can't even do p90x I will definatly not do this. The p90 program did give good ideas for stretching and yoga with kempo. Also some nice food ideas.
