For me, having a realistic minimum exercise routine helps me keep on track. When I was a kid my mom made me do 30 sit-ups, 15 push-ups and run around the block mon-fri after school.
As an adult I'm busy and have an active job, so my minimum is 10 sit-ups and 10 push-ups Monday-Saturday. Sometimes I do more. Sometimes I'm just getting it out of the way to go do something else. But either way it's doable and keeps fitness as a priority in every week.

See my discussion with Shinryu about going to the gym :-) But my ideal routine would be like yours for starters and ending up with 50/day (including crunches) in a month or two.
But still trying to just get on track to exercise 3 times a week for 20 minutes.

If you're looking for minimum, I'm going to throw yoga out there. I've been slowly adoring yoga and it's pretty much awesome. It takes a while to gain the flexibility though.

Hmm, I should give it a try. My wife has a ton of DVDs laying around. The thing is, she rarely does it because once she is on the floor in some pretzel shape, our daughter decides its time to play pony ride.

Walk everyday for at least a mile no matter what the condition outside is. Weather is a constant problem where I live since it is constantly fluxuating.

A pedometer is a really good investment- whether you go all fancy and get a Fitbit or just use your phone, it really helps. I started using my phone for this in January, and my average steps a day was around 4,500. As of yesterday, my average is around 11,000. Something about seeing those miles as you walk around doing your daily stuff ^.^

I have had a craving for pasta the whole time I am in this diet since I have ALMOST eliminated ANY form of bread out of my daily eating. CURSE YOU TROPICAL SMOOTHIE CAFE!!! AND YOUR DELICIOUS CHICKEN PESTO FLATBREAD!!! CURSE YOU!

The only thing that keeps me motivated is the video game reward system. As in, "if you wake up and go to the gym now, you can play video games guilt-free all day."

That's how my reward system is except I do my workouts right after work. Then I can paly the game for as long as I worked out for. 1hour workout = 1hour playtime.

That's how my reward system is except I do my workouts right after work. Then I can paly the game for as long as I worked out for. 1hour workout = 1hour playtime. That seems good in theory- but working out for hours isn't really good for you. If you start pushing yourself too hard, you'll do more damage than good. I said it in another post and I'll quote it again- Long term consistency trumps short term intensity.
