I'm very okay with changes to the series from game to game but I'm just hoping changes made are always used to their full potential.
I know kingdom hearts was completely fine without being able to switch between party leaders but I feel 15 needs to allow us to play with the other people in the party and utilize everybodys unique abilities to them. for example sora was always the only person you directly control although Donald/goofy were always in the party. I hope 15s final system is not like this
I would be ecstatic if they implemented a system like type O in which you can switch between characters in your party of 3 at any point in battle. Or id be happy with a ff12 like system to where you can control or switch between party members at ease. And worse comes to worse if the final version of the game doesn't allow this feature im praying for a very interactive and effective gambit system like 12 to make up for it at the least so the a.i. Doesn't have some wtf moments.
Does anyone else feel similar or are u fine with only being able to control Noctis?

I'm kind of on the fence about this. I definitely see the appeal to playing with every character, especially in a game where the characters have different skill sets; ie FFXV. I don't think this is a deal breaker by any means, but I would definitely prefer it.

I don't think it's necessary for FFXV with the direction it's going (i.e: supporting party members having their skill set toned down). But, this is also something I expect from ARPGs, isolation from party members is almost a standard for ARPGs at this point. I think it'd have been cool to play as Prompto though, changeable characters would have been a nice defining quality that separated XV from KH.
Given some recent interviews, gambits in XV is 1 in a million. Hopefully the AI is refined enough to the point where you don't have to carry everyone like you do in most ARPGs.

Has something changed in the new demo. In the previous version that I played you had the option of playing different members of the team. Don't quote me on this thought as I am not 100% certain you had the ability to switch I just remember running around as a different team member of the bro's. At least for a little while. Also is your comment about being able to switch characters and have them do different things. Or just switch to get a different point of reference from another characters eye's.

I'm referring to party leader switching like ff12 in which u can switch to any member u choose and having full functionality with them at any time
