So having played FFXIV for a long time now I have been intrigued by the crafting classes and been on a strong kick of armor making. Now with that said what is you favorite or most interested crafting job you have found in the final fantasy series or elsewhere. Such jobs are Blacksmith Armorer - the one I am most intrigued by and currently studying Weaver Goldsmith Carpenter Leather worker Cook - because food Alchemist Miner Botanist - because flowers are cool too. Fisherman And so on If possible which would you look into as a real life profession.

I haven't played 14 but if I did I could see myself delving into alchemy. Theirs something magical and mysterious that draws me to the alchemy discipline. And when I think alchemy the 10-2 alchemist dress sphere always comes to mind. But for a real job I would be a cook! I have a huge passion for food, who doesn't, but I enjoy cooking for myself and others, and I believe im not to shabby at it. Would love to open a restaurant some day and be able to do something I love for a living

You as might as well come up with a general guide on here for XIV, you've got the knowledge and patience for us newbies. Lol! So my question is can you come up with something for crafting? Kind of like upgrading weapons in XIII I'm waiting until I know how to craft properly before I mess up. I plan on doing leather working first, unless you have another suggestion. From what I read it's the best for pug/rog/nin.

From what I read it's the best for pug/rog/nin. every job has its money making potential. doing all in the long run is the best way to go because certain cross class abilities from many jobs are pretty much a requirement to accomplish higher level crafting. for quick money making culinarian is best because of the expensive and consumable items that cant be reused like armor. people who use food have to keep buying more and more making it a more in demand item.
