I like anime well enough, I just have problems deciding which new ones to start...
Dragon Ball Z is a must watch for any anime fan. You can either go with the original release or with Kai. I prefer Kai, personally, because it removes a lot of the mid-fight filler. Now fights last five episodes instead of twenty, lol. Inuyasha is pretty darn good. And I love it more now that they've gone back and finished it. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Much better than the first anime in my opinion, and such a good story. Sword Art Online. Everyone should at least watch the first season. Gun Gale Online is... meh, mostly. Soul Eater. Just finished this anime, and it's pretty entertaining. The art style is pretty interesting, like it's a graffiti art instead of your standard anime.
Those are my favorite.

Dragon Ball Z is a great series but it is a serious commitment. There as so many episodes it's just sick. I have the full series (not Kai) on blu ray and it looks phenomenal for being an older show. I used to have to get bootleg VHS tapes from Japan, so having the whole series to watch at my disposal enables me to watch a saga whenever I want. Freeza saga in particular is awesome. He was such an awesome villain.
I just finished watching Evangelion with a friend and it reminded me how freaking good that series is (ok maybe I never forgot how good it was). If you've never seen that series before, I'm so jealous that you get to experience it for the first time.

A lot more manageable than the 291 of the original. The Cell Games are my favorite saga... mainly because it's Gohan at his best, and he's my favorite character.

I watched all the various DBZ versions and I don't really like Kai Sure seeing the animation get redone with more color is nice. Its heavily censored even in the uncut versions compared to the original DBZ uncut and some of the filler was actually good because it developed some of the characters more and stuff. Love this part of the Cell Saga the most. IStill mad about Gohan not reaching his potential and just focusing on school later on. Are you all watching Dragon Ball Super?

I'm not a fan at all of kai and prefer the original U.S. Release version. And I prefer the original U.S. Broadcast version compared to the original Japanese because the soundtrack is amazing for the U.S. And the Japanese makes me feel otherwise. Also unlike other shows, the filler carries some great content and i honestly love the long multi episode drawn out battles. Its not like theirs THAT much filler compared to Bleach, Naruto, and one piece in which theirs massive amount of filler that usually isn't directly related at all to the main story. And yea my favorite saga is Cell Games. 2nd favorite would be Frieza Saga. 3rd Favorite would be Perfect Cell Saga. Top 5 battles for me would be 1.Goku vs Frieza 2. Goku vs. Majin Vegeta 3. Goku vs. Cell 4. Gohan vs. Cell 5. Vegeta vs Android 19

I guess I never had too much attachment to the filler. There is one filler episode that I liked (Goku and Piccolo learning to drive) and I can just watch that on YouTube.
I've never watched those other filler-heavy shows, but I still think that DBZ had some crazy amount of filler. So much that two full seasons are nothing but filler (Garlic Jr and Saiyaman sagas, and I've never met anyone who said great things about those two sagas, especially Saiyaman.)
Guess I'll have to agree to disagree with everyone else in regards to the filler.

I just started watching through an anime called Parasyte. So far, I'm about 10 eps in and I'm enjoying it! I enjoy a little blood/gore in anime to keep it interesting and suspenseful. It's about a high school student named Shinichi who's hand is taken over by an extraterrestrial being (parasite) known as Migi. He then has to battle other Parasites because they take over people's bodies after sort of eating the human. Anyways, it's streaming on Hulu if anyone wants to check it out! Also a live action movie came out in Japan a year or two ago, I haven't seen it yet. If it's anything like the live action Death Note films then it'll be pretty awful but entertaining to watch!

I may have to check this one out, but just started Bleach. That should keep me busy for a while. I started bleach as well a few months ago. Currently around episode 267 but am taking a little hiatus due to filler fatigue. I do like the show overall and I absolutely love the dark atmospheric soundtrack. Let mw know what u think when u get further in the show!

I figure I still have 10 months with the show.

Ok, I am watching Kill La Kill. I just can't stop, even though I know I should. It is just so over the top. It reminds me of when I first saw FLCL.
