I watched it, and was pleasantly surprised. I felt that this animation captured the tone of Final Fantasy VII completely. However, this does not excuse this films addition into the "Let's change a shit load of things about VII" club, but it still gets the job done. I also feel like it messed with the story of VII less than Advent Children. What do you guys think? Its shorter than Advent Children so thats why it only retconned some things. I'm sure it would have changed more though if it was longer...
I liked the character art and I think they did a good job. I wish it was dubbed because FF7 Last Order was never officially brought over to the West so thats why its only subbed and no dubbed version exists.
I don't know how I feel about how they changed the whole Zack stuff and other scenes.
But that scene where Cloud gets impaled and lifts Masamune from the blade and throws Sephiroth off is a great scene! Seeing Sephiroth going "This can't BE!" is awesome.
