I'm not sure if anyone else agrees with me, but I think the Gunblade is the most bad-ass weapon in any FF game! I hope they bring it back at some point in the series.

Well they kind of did, in FF13 lightning has what I consider to be a gunblade and probably in its perfect form as is morphs from sword to gun. It also has appeared Crisis Core and FF14 as a weapon type although unuseable by zack in Crisis core.

I was thinking more along the lines of the gunblade as a primary weapon type. I remember the weapon you're talking about in FFXIII, and forgot about the one in Crisis Core. I would like to see either another character that strictly uses gunblades or maybe a job class that uses them.

I wouldn't put it past SE to release a jobclass in A realm reborn that uses gunblades.

Who knows we may see one in FF XV, it would fit in visually IMO, and the "triggering" cloud be a fun/interesting mechanic in a KH style combat system.

If you can get the blood sword early in FF tactics it was so OP.
