Still powering through a FFX replay. I made the mistake of tackling a lot of the monster arena before facing Braska's Final Aeon, so I had to wait for my overdrive gauge to fill and use Blitz Ace to make the ending "feel" epic. It kind of upset me how little of a challenge it was this time because of my insistence on tackling the bonus stuff first. Fortunately, I made around 180 saves throughout the game, so I could just go back to right after I beat Yunalesca and try to beat the game from there. Other than that, I've been "playing" Clicker Heroes. Save me. I did pretty much the same thing. I did a fair amount of extra stuff so the final area has been a breeze so far and rather anti climactic compared to my previous playthroughs where I waited till much later to do side stuff. I'm not insanely overpowerered though. I think I beat the final Seymour in around 6 hits with two of the turns being overdrives. It's pretty amazing how quickly you gain power at the end. The lead-up from the beginning of the game up until you get the airship, you go from about 200-300 damage apiece to about 3000, assuming you didn't start grinding early (it's pretty unnecessary for most of the game). Then, you get the airship, start collecting Celestial Weapons, and break through the first couple barriers to power leveling, like unlocking Don Tonberry and killing One Eye, and then suddenly you're dealing 15,000 damage with a given character. After that, scaling from 15,000 apiece to 99,999 is a breeze, and you feel a bit like you cheated! Fortunately, many of those extra monsters in the Arena, the Dark Aeons, and of course Penance are difficult enough to warrant a lot of extra grinding. Still, really wish I had just tried to beat the end without being so overpowered. Did you get too OP with all characters, or just a few? Might still be worth it to try to beat BFA with some of the benched characters! (For me, I left Kimahri and Lulu untouched when I started power leveling)

3 days until my roommate is moved out. There are about....half dozen games I need to get back into. My currently playing list is about to be absurd.

Unlike alot of people I like kimahri a fair amount and have leveled him close to where my top 4 of tidus, wakka, auron, and yuna are.

I love using Rikku, especially since it is easy to get and activate her weapon. I never use her overdrive, though. Once it is filled, it just sits there flashing until the end of the game. Well... I do use her overdrive... to gain her AP points later in the game.

At that point, I had so many Gambler's Spirits and mixing items that I used her overdrives more than anything -- mostly to survive some of those pesky end-game bosses with max-damage attacks.

Currently playing: The classic Mega Man games (i.e., not MMX or the GBA or DS games). I LOVE the Mega Man series. It's pretty funny, though, because the first one is so difficult, 2 is less so but still quite difficult, 3 is also decently hard, but from there on it's pretty much a cakewalk.

I love it! One of my friends bought me Legends 2 for me birthday last year, since I had lost my copy of it years ago. Both 1 and 2 are a blast to play, even as an adult, but that just might be due to me being a Mega Man nerd. Heh. Never played the offshoot Tron Bonne game, though. Do you like the Legends series?

Those games are crazy hard. Have you you played the new ones as well? I play through the MMX series usually once a year, the SNES ones are my favourite.

oxbellows and Shinryu: The classics aren't terribly hard, ONCE you get the hang of them! Getting pretty far into Wily's castle and dying again and again and again and again... that gets frustrating! However, the part at the end of each one (or most of them) when you have to fight all the 8 Robot Masters without a gameover is my favorite part of the game. I have a strong tendency to use do Buster-only runs, which usually results in some really fun boss fights! And I do love MMX a whole lot! I haven't played past MMX6, but I do think that the MMX series is stellar. Each game really feels distinct, which is more than the first 6 games of the classic series can say; other than dashing and a SOME obvious graphical updating, they don't feel all that different from one another. I never tried Battle Network, and I've only played a little bit of the MMZ series. From what I could tell, though, MMZ held true to the difficulty level of the classic series. It was pretty hard! I will have to give Battle Network a try! jakeakatheone: I know what you're saying about the frame rate issues! Gets pretty annoying. I agree that 2 is the best one. It's crazy rare nowadays though, which upset me when I realized I had lost my original copy of 2. Even more rare, though, Misadventures of Tron Bonne! A preliminary search found a copy being sold for $871! That's just a liiiiiittle steep If I can somehow manage get my hands on it, I will definitely have to give Tron Bonne a shot!

I ought to pull out my copy of MML2 and pray that it still works. Tron Bonne is on the PSN for 6 bucks though . The early Megaman's aren't that hard but I started 9 the other day.....it straight up kicked my ass.
