In galbadia after they stop asking to mix rules the rules are Random, Same/plus.I had trouble spreading open in Dollet when I was trying to spread it there and I just payed the Queen of Cards to spread it there. Did I screw up the rest of the process?

I don't think so, although I have never use the queen to spread rules in the past. I would either spread them by playin from region to region or play each regions crappy rule set and manipulate the random rule by only keeping string cards in my deck. As far as I know you can still spread the rules even after using the queen though.

I'm at the end of Disc 2 now, but I was able to go back to Dollet,play a couple games and it allowed me to carry the open rule. Really not a fan of how weird the rules of triple Triad are in 8. Makes it unnecessarily difficult.

I think it was intended to keep the card game interesting. It was more annoying than anything.
