Hey guys!
You know what next week's episode is gonna be about.
If you got a chance to play either the XV demo or some of type-0 this week, let us know what you've thought about it so far.
Did you pre-order the game? (If so, what edition?)
Did you play XV's demo?
What did you think of type-0 so far?
What do you think of XV's demo? Does it bode well for square?

Yeah I played the game. Don't own a PS4 yet but my friend let me play. (Not getting a PS4 until FFXV comes out... still saving up)
Didn't preorder the game but I would have preordered the limited edition if I had a PS4.
I played the FFXV demo and loved it takes about 2-4 hours to 100% if you rush or 4-6 hours if you take your time. My friend and me stayed up nonstop and played the demo completely lol we both loved it.
Getting Ramuh and fighting the Behemoth was fun.
Type 0 is great the camera is a little clunky but it is a PSP port of a game after all. Combat is very fun.
FFXV demo runs at 720p 30fps but the real game will run 1080p 60fps I heard and the combat is nice and fluid and very nice exploration is fantastic. I think it will be a hit when it comes out like REALLY REALLY MAKE FF7 type levels of money for Square.

I picked up the game on release day, but I grabbed it digitally. No pre-order for me. I'm all digital now anyway, so pre-ordering is dumb.
I downloaded both, but I've only played Type-0 so far. I'll probably finish it up before I get around to playing the FFXV demo. I feel no need to rush to the FFXV demo since it will be there when I'm ready. It's not like I need to quickly finish it before the real game releases. We all know how long Square takes to develop games. It could be years before FFXV actually comes out.
Type-0 is pretty good. It's obviously a port from a lower end system and it's definitely not a mainline game. As long as you set your expectations for that you shouldn't be disappointed. It's very much an action game with RPG elements. It's not a straight up RPG. The story is ok so far, but nothing earth shatteringly brilliant. The war and grim setting provide a good backdrop for the main characters. And it's really interesting having such a large ensemble cast of 14 characters to choose from. I'm still trying to get to know them since there are so many, but the variety is nice.
I'll probably do a bigger write-up on my blog. When I do, I'll definitely post here.

I did not pre-order the game, but was tempted to do so when the Square store was giving away free money for orders over 50 or 60 bucks. If I had pre-ordered the game, then I probably would have played the demo, then immediately wanted to play a similar game with an open world.

I love them both.
If I can stop playing XIV I would probably just grind type-0 atm.
