I'm not sure if one Final Fantasy game referencing another counts as a Spot the FF, but feel free to tell me how wrong I am if I am. Yesterday I was skimming through my Facebook feed and happened across this picture of the new summon, Ramuh, from the Final Fantasy XV demo which was recently released and you guys discussed. But this picture pointed out something that I didn't notice when watching the video of the summon. Here's the picture: Now look on the top of Ramuh's staff. Isn't that a familiar shape, especially considering that the podcast is playing through Final Fantasy X right now? The picture clearly shows that Ramuh has a decorative piece on the top of his staff that looks just like Ixion, the lightning summon from Final Fantasy X. It's like they took the coolness of the old lightning summon and a newer one, smashed them together, and created an awesome lightning god! Anyway, if this section isn't for Final Fantasy games that reference itself, I'm sorry. But I hope you enjoy anyway.

The argument certainly could be made that the top of his staff does indeed look like Ixion. Good find!
As more summons are released, it would be interesting to see if this develops further.

Wow. That is definitely Ixion. I would have never caught something like that. Very perceptive

When I watched the video again, I kept an eye on Ramuh's staff. The camera does show a better angle of the staff at one point, but I couldn't find a picture of it. But the shape is definiately that of a unicorn, while the shape of the horn does show that it is a reference to Ixion.
