This was a hard list to create. Limiting the selection to 5 albums is a harder challenge than I anticipated. I asked the same question, but I had to put some of my favorite grunge hits on there. Alice in Chains and Slayer were the hardest choices. They have so many good albums in my opinion. It was a battle with Ride the Lightning and Appetite for Destruction coming close behind. I was big into AC/DC, Aerosmith, Poison, Scorpions, etc for some time but grunge and thrash won out. Korn was easy to pick, their quality kind of diminished with the years. On their new album, I think the song Never Never is the only good song. The music video is kind of cool too. But Dirt over Facelift? Was Dirt your first Alice In Chains album? I think that is what happen to me with, Facelift was my first Alice In Chain album even though I listen to the Jerry Cantrell stuff that came out later more. Yep, Dirt was my first. Even though Facelift is a great album, I think Dirt has a better collection and composition. But I could be bias. It was so hard to choose. I even like their new stuff. The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here is a good album. I can't really say the same for bands like AC/DC and Aerosmith.

This was quite the challenge. I had to start off by identifying the artists, then narrowed it down to the albums. In no particular order...
The Beatles: Rubber Soul Weezer: Pinkerton The Killers: Hot Fuss Manowar: Kings of Metal Muse: Black Holes and Revelations
Speaking of music, please PLEASE tell me someone on these forums has listened to Manowar. This post reminded me to jump over to another post and discuss another music related topic.

Weezer was always my driving to San Diego Comic Con music.

Wow. Such variety all over this particular post- I'm definitely going to have to mine everyone's selections for some new tunes. I'll get back to this with my list- I know for sure there'd be a Korn, Metallica, and Final Fantasy album on there though. I just might have to include a Danizg album so I have something to laugh at. There is just something about the dudes' voice that sends me into fits of laughter.
Sorry not sorry.
