The Chinese people I know eat homemade Chinese food. They still gain a little weight, but not as much as eating Chinese fast food. The same happens with me if I eat American food at home. Eating a giant hamburger at home will net me less weight than eating a similar hamburger at a restaurant or especially a fast food joint.
Ah the parking space. The only roommate I lived with told me that the universal roommate rule (as he understood it) was that one person gets the master bedroom and the other person gets the parking space. I got the bedroom and he got the space. Then he lost his job (Circuit City closed), and I asked to have the spot. I was the one coming and going and hunting for parking. After getting a ticket for parking in a creative away, I asked to have both. What roommate rules have you guys heard, especially when it comes to sharing finite spacial resources?
The craziest work shifts I had were 12 to 6 for a week. That is midnight to 6am and then noon to 6pm for 5 days straight. I think I ended up just passing out, after the fourth day. My body refused to move. The sweetest schedule I had was working 8 to 4pm Friday to Monday, going to school 8 to 5pm Tuesday and Thursday, and then having Wednesday off. It kept me busy, but there was no school and work overlap, which always felt extra draining for some reason.
