Anybody gone to the Distant Worlds Concert this season? I'm going in June and I wanted to see if anybody knew the lineup. My girlfriend hasn't played FFVII and I'm waiting until the PS4 port comes out (so I can get some trophies and whatnot) - But if they're showing spoilers at the concert I'd rather just play the ps3 version...
Anybody seen the concert?

YES! I've seen Distant Worlds perform in Columbus Ohio two years ago and it was amazing. It was defiantly everything I thought it would be, and more! There were even a few people dressed up in cosplay which made me super happy. The orchestra played a nice selection of songs from all of the games and during One Winged Angel they had the crowd sing the lyrics! A few months back I was fortunate enough to see Arnie Roth and his small chamber orchestra perform at an intimate setting in Ann Arbor Michigan. They played loads of FF songs and for only having a few musicians they sounded fantastic! Their group is called A New World, I suggest you check them out, they have an album on Spotify.

I went last year, November 1st in London. (I went after my wedding actually. Long story lol) Noubo Uematsu was there and came out to play some Final Fantasy VI music since it was the anniversary.
In regards to spoilers, unless you'd rather wait to hear the like of One Winged Angel for the first time in the game, the most they show is some game stills or pre rendered images. There's little to no context for the songs, so that's actually a good thing for no spoilers. They rely mainly on the majority of e crowd being Final Fantasy fans and knowing where the music comes from.
We also got the new song for Final Fantasy XIV A Relm Reborn opening and the girl that sings it was there too. SUCH a great evening. My husband has neither played nor seen me play and Final Fantasy games, but he loved the evening for the music. He was able to appreciate it for amazing orchestral pieces, and I whispered some context for some of the songs, like to zanarkind, so he knew the significance of the song.

I'm waiting and hoping that a concert will be in my city. The closest ones are always in LA, and I avoid driving into LA if at all possible.

I went to the show in Vancouver a few years back. Nobuo was there and played keyboards on Dark World. What's funny is that I've seen a lot of my favorite bands live, but never have I been as starstruck as I was seeing the man himself!

I went 2 years ago in Georgia, and am going again this year when they come to Pittsburgh. I have heard that there are a few venues in which Dancing Mad is played on an organ- my sister saw Distant Worlds in Boston, and she said they played it and the floor shook. I feel like I need to get to one of these places. Also, I am holding out hope that Nobou Uematsu will go on tour again- he was last year, but not anywhere near me. Working on a FF tattoo sleeve- the plan is to find a venue where Uematsu is conducting, buy the meet and greet ticket, and ask him to autograph my arm so I can get it tattooed over. Lofty goals.

I would have thrown him my bra (or something)... We went to the one in LA last night, which was during E3. Pretty Epic They finished with an encore of "One Winged Angel" in light of the announcement of the FFVII remake. Hitoshi Sakimoto (Composer of XII) was there last night, though he didn't play anything. Anybody else go last night?

It is interesting how One Winged Angel is a song that unites the entirety of the FF fanbase in its awesomeness.
