SSSFF is a fun idea, but maybe not meaty enough to be its own podcast. I remember that you spun it off from just being a segment, but maybe it is time to return it to being an infrequent segment. The problem is, which feed to include it in. PHAT is aiming to be a clean show, so you don't want to put it there. You already pulled it from UFF. You could keep it in its own feed and only update it occasionally, but you may lose actual and potential subscribers due to the random amount of time between episodes.
I would still like SSSFF to be around in some sort of form. Just tell us when and where to find it on the other shows (if you do end it).
As to the possible modification of the show... If you want to reach out to the fan fiction community, you may want to rethink the mocking of the authors. I know that it is one of the features of your show, but I can't imagine too many folks in the fan fiction community endorsing it. I remember back to your interview attempt - any hint of possible mockery seems to make them (and really any group) form ranks in solidarity. I am sure our community would do the same. You could still hunt for and relish in the horrible writing by playing it off straight and being totally tongue-in-cheek about it. Read it as it is written and pretend like it makes total sense. There's a certain level of humor in that.
The fan written submissions is a good idea. They would not be as frequent, but that goes back to my original comment about making the show something other than weekly. Even if you guys stop doing the show, I figure you will get the SSSFF bug again. That is why this podcast exists, right? SSSFF was cancelled once already, after another cancellation I am sure it will rise again.
FF Mobile - I would like to see you guys do them. I would like you guys to review every Final Fantasy thing out there. That's the unofficial mission statement, right?
