So does anyone else here have a gym membership and go? I have a Planet Fitness black card and I love the local PF. Treadmills are my jam.
What about you guys?

I work at a gym for the free membership. I go about four or five times a week. I do stair/bike for cardio days. I do a circuit for general fitness. Squats and deadlifts are about all I do for lifting anymore.
I work out a lot and I focus on overall health. I stretch every day and do balance work at least once a week.
I've not heard of planet fitness. Is it nice?

I just workout at home. Only Gym near my house is pretty outdated and I might sign up eventually just for the equipment to lift weights and stuff but I mostly exercise at home.

We got a LA fitness by my house i go to when i can, nice place got a sauna a pool and plenty of equipment, I tend to stick with free weight more then machines and usually for my cardio i do the tredmill.
Also got a small home setup when i am too lazy to go, a stair stepper, some free weights, and a universal machine.

You know, I never had a gym until I went to college. I lived in such a small town that there was nothing but the local YMCA and that was a bit outdated. I went to the gym a lot in college, but since I graduated I don't mostly because I walk everywhere and do my work-out at home before everyone wakes up and starts demanding my attention. Which is nice. I have thought about getting a gym membership, but I just have this natural reluctance to have a money commitment to anything...maybe I'm just frugal.

I used to wish I was a Saiyan. A lot. If I was I'd be training in 500x Gravity 100% at all times.

I know people say if you pay for the membership that you are more likely to go, but that does not work with me. I need the habit first. I have had a membership and never went. I like the idea of going, but until I get into a regular routine at home, I doubt I would ever take the gym very seriously.
My daughter has caught me working out a couple of times. She usually comes over and joins me, so that has made it fun. When she is older and going to school, maybe I will use that time to actually go to a gym.

I love going to the gym, and am usually pretty consistent- know thyself though, because I HAVE to go before I go to work because I sure as hell am not going after working all day. I try to go Monday Wednesday and Friday, which means getting up at 4:45....which I have dubbed fuck-this-shit o'clock. Luckily, my gym is a 24 hour gym and is only a mile away, so I can jog there and thus do not have to do a warm up when I arrive. I used to be a huge cardio fan, and now I mostly lift weights...although cardio will prove to be key when the zombie apocalypse happens. As a side note- if anyone is looking for new workout jams, there is a group called Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard. It's kind of a mix of spoken word/rap and rock, and will straight up get your rear in gear.
