I know the guys are playing through the numerical FF entries in order, but will FF:MQ be played for a future episode? I know it is not a "main" entry in the series, but for most of us in the USA this was one of four FF games that we were able to play before the PS era. While not the best game in the series, it still had its strong points and I hope there can be a discussion on this game soon.

Here's the order we're gonna go in (as far as we know): Main series through 14 (11 and 14 will be voted on, we could go straight to X-2 and XIII-2), then 13's sequels. After that, we'll do all of the spin-offs and sequels in the order in which they were released. If XV comes out while we're doing those, we'll go straight to that instead, and then go back to where we were. We've got a while, but we'll be getting to this one eventually. If it's on the forum we plan on playing it. We may even open it to Chrono Trigger, as it was released in "Final Fantasy Chronicles", that may be stretching our definition of a final fantasy, but that's a conversation for a much, much later time haha.

Thanks for the update. I figured you guys would be doing FF:MQ but not sure when. I'm also all for a Chrono Trigger episode. There was an article in game informer with one of the FFVI producers that said they were actually working on another 16-bit FF game which would have been VII but they had to split up the production team to work on CT. In my opinion it could be on the podcast for this reason alone. It also makes you wonder if VII was going to be 16-bit or if there is a FF game that died that no one knew anything about? Hopefully you can dig up more info on this subject.

We will definitely be playing Chrono Trigger at some point, and doing an episode on it. The game looks amazing, and it is paired with FFIV...

It's a great game. I never had a chance to play this until I was in my 20s and I can say it's one of the best RPGs out there without being influenced by any type of nostalgia.

Nice. I'm hoping my experience is similar.

One of the best parts about the game is the new game+ feature. I wish they would do that with more FF games because I would replay them for story or collecting purposes but don't always feel like going through some of the grind again.

I really like new game plus features. It really adds replay value and that is always a good thing.
