Who's the better character? (This is going to be my daily thing, hope you guys like this!) Cloud of Darkness(FF 3) or Golbez? (FF 4)

Golbez, or as I used to call him when the game first came out, "Gonads." He not only had strong physical attacks, but he could cast high level magic spells and summon monsters to fight for him. And he could control people's minds!

Golbez has more character development.
Cloud of Darkness is pure evil and extremely powerful.

I used Golbez in the after years instead of Cecil lol.
Also go finish FF3 the final dungeon is a must for FF fans.

(FF 4) By the way, they do have a section on the forums for "character battles." Might be a good spot to post these. I think this is a good idea, but it maybe be better in the battles section. That way KnJ can discuss this in its own segment instead of mixing it in with questions. |

LOL the way you said that reminded me of this South Park episode with Butters... Couldn't find the right video but at least this has the right audio. |

I'd go with Golbez because of character development alone, that means a lot to me. Shinryu I'm sure you learned later that Golbez couldn't replace Cecil forever LOL! I found that he was useful for a large part of the game but became overshadowed once your other characters developed. I think Kain from The After Years is the most powerful character in the FF series, haste+jump=death and I think there was an item (or I may be confused with the tag team attacks) where Kain can break the damage threshold. My favorite character by far!
