Whoa...
So this game is not just a Square Soft game but was supposed to be an FF game? I played it for an hour, but didn't own it. I will keep an eye out for it.

I know it takes place in Ivalice, not sure if it was ever a "final fantasy" game per se... It's certainly one we'll get to if we ever run out of games.

I will probably pick it up on PSN. I have been thinking about getting a Vita, but will probably wait until later next year. I think it could make a fun hand held. VS will probably make me want to go back and play Tactics again. Or maybe finish Tactics Advance 2:Secretes In My Grimoire.

Play Tactics! All other forms of it are inferior! I'd reccomend War of the Lions if you've got a PSP or an ipad.

I have tactics as a PS one game and as War of the Lions. I liked Tactics Advance, but did not like GrimeWhore. FF games teach us to grind and overcome problems with awesome strength. In A2, the monsters level with you. Same with Four Heroes of Shite. Both of these games I ended up grinding myself into a corner.
... or was it that I did not have a place to grind in A2? Great, now I'm senile.
I know 8 leveled the same way, but for some reasons it was not as painful as the two DS games.

Whenever they port a ff to the D's they make it harder ff4 on ds was significantly more difficult than before.

Grinding yourself into a corner is fun in FF Tactics, cause it scales with you as well. Go to Grogh Heights and go off against 11 monks mawhaha. the new cutscenes in War Of The Lions are sweet but other than that, the port to PSP is pure ass monkey.

Not really it gives more side quests and its supposed to be a port not something new.

The slowdown is beyond sad. it's just as horrible as the Chrono Trigger port in Chronicles. When somebody personally decrypts the game just to patch it, you know it is a crappy port.

Yeah but I think they were just trying to get more people into tactics by adding baltheir and luso. It has a slight graphical enhancement too.

adding Balthier was awesome. Chaos Blade + Barrage for the win!

That's good. I was told that the iOS version was the worst.
