I have been cutting back on my podcast time because I am actually listening to music again. Each week I have been focusing on a group. I am not ready to become a diehard Def Leppard fan like Han Solo (RIP), but I just spent last week going through my Iron Maiden catalog. This week I have decided to listen to what I have of Disturbed. I only have The Lost Children, The Sickness, and Ten Thousand Fists. I want to add another album to the list, to mix something new with what I am familiar with. What album do any of you suggest I pick up?

Used to be a huge Distrubed fan in my *cough* younger years- haven't listened to The Lost Children or even Asylum. I think the last one I did listen to was... Indestructible. Are those albums decent? My beef with Disturbed was it all started to sound the same. Nu-Metal kinda had that issue, that a lot of it started to sound interchangeable.

One or two albums to add to the three I have.

My beef with Disturbed was it all started to sound the same. Nu-Metal kinda had that issue, that a lot of it started to sound interchangeable. The three I have are fine. I think there is some overlap, maybe one if them is a greatest hits? I thin I have these three because they wherein the 5 dollar mp3 bin at Amazon. I usually choose slowmo shipping in exchange for a dollar credit. Once I have enough, I pick up an ebook or album. I think these albums I got with college book credits, though. Sickness is OK, but I think I like Fists better. Perhaps I heard the songs from the former way too much on the radio. I don't mind things sounding the same, if it is the band sound. Most of the Weezer albums just sound like one continuous song. But I they ate exactly the same then I feel you. I'll take a look Ayslum and Indestructible.

Nice, Indestructible is streaming free on Prime and, haha, Asylum is 5.99 for the CD with free mp3 album or 10.49 for just the mp3 album. Hmm, hard choice there :-). I guess the sealed CD can sit in the cupboard with other orders.
EDIT: Indestructible seems OK. I seem to like every other song. I see what you mean about starting to sound the same. Some of the songs sound like the band was just trying to make a Disturbed song.
