You're the man!! Thanks!!! That helped out a lot! I now accessed the ability for crafting jobs, I started with the weaving, not totally following that process either. I got the beginning part making the components but when I went to make some armor or a helmet although I had the parts it said synthesize failed and I probably lost the components. I got to level 3 as a weaver and switched back to pugilist, I'm like lvl 13.5, I should reach 15 by then end of the night. I'm still not sure what the story is so far, I'm fighting and doing quests but I did one quest and it seemed like the story. I killed some boss monster where some blonde guy came and helped and then I went into a cut scene where it was like a crystal dream. I did end up joining a FC for a time being and then got out realizing a lot of them were as new as me. I'm hoping some high level folks can hook me up with some stuff or help me kill a lot of things so I can level and upgrade faster, that wasn't happening there. If I wasn't new to mmo I wouldn't mind but a lot of things are hard to grasp and it's nothing to do with gameplay or understanding the world. I'm going to continue to fight, do quests, and explore. I thought this was pretty funny, I ended up walking pretty far to somewhere I clearly had no business being in, the monsters were over 50 and most of the people online were around that too. I ended up doing a fate mission with them, I didn't get jack nothing because I could hardly participate, but it was fun watching what the high level battles look like. They just mobbed the enemies with nice looking magic, mounts, and insane weapons. I'm enjoying it so far, it's just slow for me because of trying to grasp the finer nuances early in the game.

Well I'm a lvl 16 pugilist now, I'm trying to get to the quest for the airship pass. I read that's the way for me to access the rogue class. I must say I am enjoying this game very much. I think I got most of the basics down other than crafting things. I thought this was really cool, a throw back to FFIV, not really a spoiler, but I got to meet the creators/producers of the game at one point. I can't wait for everyone to get on here, I feel like I've done a lot, but I know I've hardly scratched the surface of this game.

I'm really glad you're liking it so far Judge. It took me around the same point to really figure out how some of the systems, like chatting and where to sell and whatnot work as well. As an aside, you'll always know if you're doing a story quest since the quest symbol looks like a flaming meteor. Not sure if you had made the distinction yet so I thought I'd mention it

I'm like some quests seem like story mode and others just quest but when I finally got my airship pass I noticed the difference. Kind of sucks I have to level up from 1 again in my new job, at least I know half way what I'm doing now, getting to 30 should be relatively quick. I need lessons in crafting, I won't be doing that until I know for sure. I did buy some descent gear for where I am since that guy gave me a million gil. I also may have recruited a bunch of them for the forum and twitch stream when I explained why I'm playing 14. If it wasn't for this I might have never played it, glad I am.

Yea Gil doesn't really matter in this game so I've heard of that happening to some people sometimes lol. I don't know if anyone has told you this but the greater the difference in level between the class you are and your highest level class the faster you level. As for crafting, although you can make a few useful things for yourself by just leveling one class, if you REALLY want to get into it and start making tons of Gil you'll need to level them all for all the cross-class abilities. I only have a lvl 23 weaver so unfortunately I don't know too much regarding how to make consistent HQ gear

XIVs RMT mostly just consist of crystal gatherers because yoshida cut them off on so many other avenues.

Yea. I'm sorta glad that RMTs have as little revenue as they do. Their tells are annoying enough although they've slowed down considerably since Heavensward. For all those who're at the endgame: does anyone else find themselves slowing down in the game lately? Alexander didn't really keep me interested for long and I've found myself doing older fights with my FC or just leveling other classes.

Since the release? That's insane if you have every class maxed, like other combat and magic classes + the main jobs you picked, and all the crafing? Impressive sir, impressive.

if memory serves me, I believe that 1.0 of FFXIV forced you to either change jobs every so often or just take a break. So most people playing in those days have all their jobs at 50. For me what mostly keeps me logging in is my FC. Everyone always logs and when we actually run stuff together it's always a lot of fun. Lately I've been trying to invite people to the FC so that we can have a good amount of people for our eventual airship adventures. I slowly work on my ESOs otherwise. Finished leveling Astrologian last week so I've been trying to test it any time I can. I'm now going to super slowly work on Scholar so I can have all my healers maxed.
60 WHM 60 AST 52 SCH/SMN and the rest is only leveled enough for cross class abilities

I'll probably make this decision before one of you get back to me and I've found nothing that was a definite answer online, but I'm at the point where I can choose a Grand Company, any suggestions to which? I read that some may cater to your class, read that it doesn't matter which, and read that you should just go with your hometown. I haven't read anything that can clarify any of it and although I know you can eventually switch, and probably should, that I would like to stay on track to the fastest path to my main class which is ninja. I'm a lv18 PUG and a lv28ROG, I'm in need of my weekly dose of advice lol!
