Well, we don't use pounds in the USA, but I still like the title. I will donate 1 dollar for each pound that the hosts lose from now 'til the end of 2015. I'll use the latest episode (Questions and Game of Thrones singing) as the starting mark. I will even start the count with a $7 credit since Joe lost a bunch of weight during this episode. (Ok, that sounds weird)
Good Luck guys! I will compare your weight from the latest episode to the weight you announce at the end of the year for the final tallies. And yes, I understand that there is a mass of holidays and such. I always gain weight during the last half of the year. I am not issuing this challenge because I am confident that you will gain weight, too. Rather, this is a yearly thing my buddies and I do with each other because as teachers we tend to gain a bunch of weight during this time of year. The challenge seems to help reduce the gain or even lead to loss.
I will re-listen to the episode to get the weights, or someone else can post them below.
Here's to the next 5 months!
****Episode 18 Weigh In**** Kaleb 217.0 Joe 257.8
Money in the bank: $7.00
Good luck, guys. These are the numbers I will compare to your end of the year weight.

****Episode 19 (labeled 15)****
Kaleb 213.2 -3.8
Joe 256.4 -1.4
Money in the bank: $11.20
Kaleb, 218 is about the fattest I have ever been... maybe. I don't think I have ever been over 225. Good luck with the bet with your friend. My buddies and I usually see who lost the most percent since heavier guys can drop weight faster.

****Episode 20****
Awesome numbers, guys! I am starting to worry here :-) Joe, 2.4 in a week is respectable. Some may say a pound a week is fantastic.
[217.0] Kaleb 207.6 ((-9.4))
[257.8] Joe 254.0 ((-3.8))
Money in the bank: $19.20
Nice work, guys!
I almost broke the 190.0 barrier. Now it is too late because I am returning to work. I easily gain a pound of week while I work. I need to be careful. I can feel Kaleb passing me by September, especially since I was about 207 last October.

I figured you would be the one to keep track of the numbers. I just finished the episode and thought about doing it.

I start a lot of things on here, but tend not to follow up if there is no interest. I know the hosts and I are very interested in this thread, though.

Daughter loves Whisper of the Heart, Kiki, and Totoro. She did not care too much for Ponyo or Howl's moving castle. I watched Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke during the Ghibli emergence (resurgence?) during the turn of the century. I thought they were good movies, but not for my daughter. That has been the real pain, trying to find Ghibli movies for her to watch. Online lists of "movies for kids" end up being pretty bad. Why would I show Mononoke to a two-year old? Keep up the good work guys!

****Episode 22****
I am calling this one a draw since Joe guestimated that he gained 2 lbs.
[217.0] Kaleb 204.2 ((-12.80))
[257.8] Joe 254.2 ((-3.6))
Money in the bank: $23.40
I am still stuck at my 190.0 barrier. Must break it soon, since Kaleb is going to demolish 200.0 soon.
Mortgage: Yeah, paying off principal is pretty rad. I kind of wish my wife and I did a 15 year mortgage instead of a 30. We are also stuck with FHA mortgage. What grinds my gears is that we got talked into refinancing too early. If we would have waited a year, we could have refinanced in a way that dropped the mortgage insurance altogether. The agent never said a thing... because $$$$. We will not be penalized for paying off our mortgage early, but most (all?) mortgages are front loaded with interest. We pay about $1800 and $650 of that is interest, more than the principal they are asking for. I wish the loan recalculated interest every time you paid off the principal, but I don't think it works that way. Just paying off the the principal means you make less payments later on (therefore you don't have to pay those last couple years of interest payments).
Five Four Club: Two bad you did not join the Five Finger Death Punch club. Is there a Freddy Got Fingered club?
EDIT: I still recommend looking at your weight, even if you know you just had a pig out day. You can see what the actual gain was. It might not be that bad. I was starving last night, so did the unspeakable midnight Taco Bell run. I ended up only gaining a pound overall for the day (and that was probably because it was still sitting in my gut). If you look, then you will know what the "cost" will be later on. Also, it is nice to watch the weight melt off as you get back on routine. I journal my weight daily and compare it to last week and last year. When I see those spikes from previous big out days, it makes me feel better about now and also makes the numbers look great.

And ironically, I quoted Freddy Got Fingered at someone the other day, and got a blank stare back. WTF. That movie had some great moments. I find this thread interesting btw, and always check it out when you post. Good luck in your journey!

Is this the mortgage calculator you are using? I should pop my numbers in. We get constant letters and calls to refinance. We have mortgage insurance that we could probably dump through a refinance. But we already refinanced - way too early, too. So all we ended up doing was resetting our loan and mortgage insurance. The idea of refinancing has left us with a bad feeling at this point. I think we have another year and a half until we hit the 5 year minimum to dump the insurance. Then we may take another look.

Kaleb weighs 200lbs? I can't see it, was thinking 185 heaviest and maybe like 165-70. I'm 140lbs, do 100 pushups and sit ups daily, some chin ups, 3 miles a week, shredded! No need for GNC or anything like that

I didn't know it was a movie for the longest time. I just thought it was a Canadian Sex Act.
