. When it comes to chips, I need to buy the tiny little bags. When I sit down to eat chips, I eat a bag. Ditto. My solution, which might work for some but not all? Air popped popcorn. The poppers are only about $20 at Walmart/Kohls, and you can buy a variety of kernels- blue corn, extra large, golden, etc. It's pretty low calorie so you can make a ton, there's fiber, and the poppers usally have a little tray on top to warm up oil/butter- if you go the route with virgin olive oil and toss it all together with salt and pepper, you get healthy fats in there too. All in all, for me its about the saltiness and the fact that I want to munch on something, and that's the route I take. I usually make popcorn for myself separately when I have friends over, because I WILL eat it all.

Not too much or else that leads to a lot of coughing and it totally ruins an otherwise tasty batch of popcorn...

****Episode 30**** [217.0] Kaleb 197.6 ((-19.4)) [257.8] Joe 255.2 ((-2.6)) Bank: $29.00 Hey Mr. Joe. It's only two pounds, not a bad trade off for some really good eating. And you are still down that extra 7 pounds. It's the reason I started keeping track of you guys and issued the challenge. When I eat out, I just assume that I will be up a pound. It basically works out that way every time I eat out. I also cannot control what I eat, home or away. When it comes to chips, I need to buy the tiny little bags. When I sit down to eat chips, I eat a bag. Size matters not. When I eat out, I usually have to place half the food on a separate plate to take home. I know you mentioned heating up food. I agree, never heat up the food in a Styrofoam container. I don't even store the food in one of those containers. As soon as I get home, I move the food into a Pyrex container. Loves those little guys. ****Episdoe 31**** [217.0] Kaleb 197.4 ((-19.6)) [257.8] Joe 255.2 ((-2.6)) Bank: $29.20 When it comes to friend chicken and potatoes (in any form), calories do not matter. I will gain weight. The food journal I have been keeping has helped me notice which foods just add a pound... not matter what. When I stop eating them, I will miss them for a while. But then slowly I lose the urges. Of course, one bite brings it all back. I had successfully given up french fries, but now my daughter shares the fries that come with her kids' meals with me. No, really she gives them to me, hehe. The urges have totally returned. I followed the diet coke thing for a week or two, but returned to regular soda. The calories form the soda where part of my normal caloric intake. By drinking diet I found myself eating an extra snack. I don't think Diet Coke is for me. I would not argue that I am not addicted to soda, but I usually just drink one or two a day, not one with every meal. If I replace the soda with tea, I am fine (but still feel extra snacky because the extra 100 calories are missing).

The food journal thing might be something I can look into since I lug around a large empty notebook to take notes anyway. So might as well post extra stuff I there as well. I am still on the end of not measuring myself for my weight but I do like the right feeling I get each morning after a workout. I am curious if anyone is trying my water idea to stop the soda cravings and at the same time cutting down on the snacking. Measure out your weight and look for an app on your phone that tells you the amount of water you need to drink a day to clean yourself out. As you can see I'm not good with math so no formulaic algorithms from me on water to weight ratios.

Measure out your weight and look for an app on your phone that tells you the amount of water you need to drink a day to clean yourself out. As you can see I'm not good with math so no formulaic algorithms from me on water to weight ratios. It started as a lark for me. I have a ton of notebooks (teaching, gaming, going to back to school sales), but my food journal is on year five and it is still in the same notebook. I can usually fit a week on a page. I record my weight after I wake up, when I get home from work, and when I go to bed. So three lines on the paper. Then next column compares the current weight to the day before, a week before, and last year. The last column (and basically half the line) contains what I ate between weigh-ins. I can see a weight gain and pretty much see where it came from. I never really counted calories, I just looked at how much I ate of what. This allowed me to still enjoy my favorite stuff, but just tweak it in some way. Or realize that if I wanted to enjoy a certain item, I should not be surprised by and should just accept any weight gain. One of the things the helped me with a lot was condiments. Using spicy brown mustard instead of BBQ sauce or ketchup Has allowed me to still eat a bunch of brats or hamburgers. Same with removing cheese. I never expected to keep one this long, but now it is just part of my daily routine. I used to keep track of the exercise I did that day. But since up don't exercise much, such entries have just been replaced by an E, to note that I actually did exercise that day. I don't note when I drink water, though. I probably should.

****Episode 32****
[217.0] Kaleb 200 ((-17.0))
[257.8] Joe 256.0 ((-1.8)) The 1.8 looks small, but you are still down like an extra 7 to 10 pounds from when you started this show.
Bank: $25.80
I really thought this episode was going to be about dandruff. And thanks for all the shout outs! Are you guys going to track your goals somewhere on the board? Please feel free to add them to the Playing the Home Game turned PHAT Goals posts. Or, I could post them here. I am hesitant to transcribe your goals because my own list balloon after a month. I love how inspiration bounces back and forth. In your very early episodes you guys talked about what you were doing to get PHAT. That led to my goal tracking. Which has led to you guys doing something similar. And now I am tempted to add some of your goals to my own list.
Have you guys ever thought about issuing a community goal or challenge?
What nose hair trimmer do you use? I have tried one, but never felt really comfortable with it. Maybe I bought a cheap model or maybe I am a wimp, but it felt more like it was pulling the hair out then cutting it. Instead of using a trimmer I either shave what I can with my electric shaver or use a pair of miniature grooming scissors. Either way, I mainly just end up cutting what is sticking out. All cosmetic, I am sure it is a jungle in the ole nostrils.
Sorry, I know these probably belong in the question subforum, but here they are.

****Episode 33**** [217.0] Kaleb 198.4 ((-18.60))
[257.8] Joe 253.8 ((-4.00))
Check: $29.60
Congrats guys! I am going to donate at least $29.60 to the show. I will keep the Pound for Pound challenging going, but since we are moving to another site, I figured I would take care of the numbers on this site and start fresh on the other.

I was wondering if you were going to stay or start over. Yeah, fresh start, plus the guys get a bunch of cash now. I tossed in an extra 5 bucks because Kaleb lost more weight than I did. It will be interesting to how their weightless from now 'til then end of the year matches up with the Summer weight-loss. The holidays are filled with temptations. My own weight goal is not to lose weight, but rather not to gain too much.
