I mean this in the way of setting, gameplay, etc.
For me I would love to see one in space where u go to diffrent planets throughout the story. I think a cross of ff xiii's combat, but allow you to switch roles and characters on the fly for a single character instead of the whole party, and action oriented would be good for this kind of setting. And maybe have summons be like a suit of armor (think iron-man like), but any character can use it and they each have there own special abilities.
I originaly posted this on reddit and got some good responses, but i would like to hear what you guys think/would like to see.

Yeah would be really nice to have an FF game where instead of visiting different areas on 1 world you visit different planets. That would be cool.

I have always wondered when ff will venture out into deep space. I was thinking your ship could be the summons as they did in 12 and then add in the maneverabilty of the ragnorok in 8, the mech suits is not a bad idea but they would kind kill the half fantasy half future tech the series is going with. There needs to be a wag to add magic to space games while also using technology. Magitech is a great tool for this idea but not sure how to go about it. I was thinking if ff could combine the skills the crew of the outlaw star have then maybe we might have something.

I want to bad tho from seeing kaleb play on twitch the last couple of days. But i guess i see magic kind of like how they do it in 13. Like when Lightning or Shaz are in there ravager role they just do it while they attack with there weapons. Im sure that the think tank they have a se could figure out a story reason for it somehow. Or if they do a job like system the armor u ware depends on the magic you have. So black mage specific armor would giveyou certain spells depending on what piece it is. And the summons could just be a special armor that equips when u use it and certain summons complement certain jobs.

When you switch jobs your armor changes. I am able to visualize the summons being summoned when you load up a shell and shoot it into the emptyness of space or the sky depending on where you are and then the being fly's in from a wormhole with a cenematic to explain how it got there.
