NSG sounds annoyingly tough. I don't know who Furen in Tales is (been long time since I played that), but I do remember that I couldn't even beat the final boss once you did something in the game that caused him to be a much higher level. Would you consider the Excalibur II FFIX run? And this isn't much of a "run", but there's the disc 1 lionheart in FFVIII. That's probably the only true challenge I've completed, even though it's just a pain in the buttocks. Or how about an X-2 perfect game? I've 100% the game on the PS2 even though I never beat Trema, but that would be much more impressive if you did that in the remaster without catnip.
I hope Kaleb tries to platinum that...

NSG is pretty tough sometimes haha. and Furen is just Flynn haha. I just use the JP pronunciation lol. Yeah, Duke has about 2 different Phases + 1 extra if you get all the fell arms. Excalibur II/Lionheart challenge wasn't really something I considered cause, while they're annoying, I don't consider them much of a strategic challenge, but more so just speed-run challenge for Excalibur II, or a patience challenge for Lionheart with all the Triple Triad and what not haha. here are some things I'm considering after NSG:
- FFIX Level 1 Challenge/Freya(?) Solo
- FFXIII No Crystarium Usage
- FFXIII-2 No Crystarium Usage
- FFX-2 New Game Solo
Also, Catnip + Gunner exploit doesn't work in International/HD version haha. That auto-berserk nerfed it so hard |

Does or has anyone played the Suikoden JRPG series? I think it's second best only to FF and Suikoden II is on par with any of them.

I just watched the Aeronite video, I must see how your schematics are set up, and damn I thought I was fast at switching paradigms, your hands are on crack. I've never seen it done with the garbs you have set up. I've beaten him on normal mode and only attempted once on hard mode and that's where I left my last file. My Lightning is way more powerful, so maybe with your tactics I can dust this thing off in no time. |

I pretty much use equilibrium +, dragoon, and dark muse+ Ahhh it's been a while, so I don't remember exactly what schema I used for No Damage Aeronite off top (gotta find those notes D:), but here's an excerpt from my notes of when I attempted Chaos Aeronite in a New Game run. Quiet Guardian:- Battleaxe of the Believer - Ghostly Bloom - Preta Hood - Runic Ring Thundara Lv2, Heavy Guard Lv2, Imperil Lv2, Deshell Lv2 L'automne: - Chaos Revenge - Ghostly Bloom - Witch's Rosary - White Strap Thundara Lv3, Light Guard Lv1, Deprotect Lv2, Aerora Lv3 Miqo'te Dress:- Kikuichimonji - Dragoon Armlet - Locket Pendant - Collector Catalog Mediguard+ LvMax, Magic Slash LvMax Aerora Lv2 ***Assuming you're familiar with the basics of the Aeronite battle. Use Thundara and Aerora to chain spells into and out of L'automne. Have a few ethers to ensure you can finish the battle with a few extra OCs. I attempted it about 6 times with this setup, averaging a 5 minute battle time w/ 5 stars. |

Nice! That's crazy I even have the better weapons, I know I can do this now. My Lightning is super over powered then, I played the game on normal mode 3x, a half a time on hard and started over (GTA5 PS4 came out), and now I finished all of the bosses and just have Aeronite and the Exsrhigle (the last one's boss) on hard left. I think I even left my self 3 or 4 "days" to spare before the last one. I might try to do this soon. I've been following Kaleb and Joe's play through of 13 and playing along, I finished the regular story last night, and will call it a quits after I finish the marks again and take on the last guy one more time. I plan on "rewinding" my XII-2, breeze through that in a day or less, and then hopefully get back to LR before the guys start XIV. I need to get back on XIII-2 because the platinum didn't save for some reason, just have to break the damage threshold again I think and I'm guessing if my LR is at 95% now that I just have to do those few things I said on hard mode and it's a wrap. No problem man! Just remember for Aeronite. Elemental damage + spell chaining is super imperative. You've gotta build staggers as quick as possible before Aeronite flees the battle.
I still need to get plats myself. Never plat any of the XIII games yet, probably should change that this year. Probably looks weird when people see my track record of the XIII trilogy and see I don't have plats lmao

No problem man! Just remember for Aeronite. Elemental damage + spell chaining is super imperative. You've gotta build staggers as quick as possible before Aeronite flees the battle. LR has my most hours, I think 240 hours on a single save. |

God, I'm going to hate myself forever, but I'll go for it. Seriously? I didn't think you would have the same fervor for a spin-off/sequel but I'd be really impressed if you did it. I actually enjoy X-2 (although you could turn out to enjoy it too who knows) and I got sick of the Via Infinito with like 25 floors still to go. If you can do that I will submit to your greatness (even though you've already done several challenges I wouldn't even attempt to) forever |
