Unlike alot of people i love 10-2 but i still realize it's major flaws. The main reason is the story is absolutely horrid and forced, and the characters being hyper-sexualized and weird. The two big things that make 10-2 special is the battle system and the anticipation of finally seeing yuna and tidus together once again. Despite it's critical flaws, it is such a fun game that brought me to love it.

10-2 easily a top 5 ff game but it never gets love at all y that Personally i liked the game a lot myself. I loved the dresspheres probably one of the funnest innovations in the battle system in awhile, every single alteration was unique and had specific purposes. The story while not the best filled in some gaps that 10 left open and gave fans the happy ending they had wanted but not received in . I also enjoyed the bosses and the final boss itself was pretty cool, and it's back-story pertaining to being a weapon to fight Sin itself(epic) I did enjoy the music even the opening theme song which many hate. Was also fun to see where the people from the previous games were after they saved the world :-) All that being said I definitely can acknowledge it's flaws and understand why people could dislike it. The reasons why it may not be given love from others: 1st The music, it is the first FF game to not have Nobuo Uematsu and alot of the music was J-pop, generally i like this music so was not an issue for me though do acknowledge Nobuo Uematsu could have done way better of he had scored it. 2nd Fan-service or Empowerment, know this is a thing me and my friends debate ourselves whether this game is a testament to girl empowerment or simply shameful fan service. And i am basically split 50/50 yes these girls are powerful driven dedicated and work together to achieve a goal without any male help but some of the dresspheres themselves felt like they could be objectifying them more then empowering them (Lady Luck dressphere looking at you) But i also acknowledge that this game was to a degree trying to attract girls as much as guys(FF10 had pulled in more girls then previous FF games and square was trying to capitalize on that) So i am betting the game was a little on both sides of this issue. 3rd Story and the main characters motivation felt weak, issue for many was after playing 10 where there was a huge huge threat to the world(Sin), FFX-2 just felt small in comparison, it was centered around finding spheres because Yuna had found one with an apparent video of someone looking like Tidus, it was a mystery but not really a real threat to the world. Those are the only things i can think of but since i like the game maybe there is stuff i overlooked that others dislike. Interesting fact about the game: It was voted as the 32nd best game of all time by readers of the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu,[64] which also gave it a 34 out of 40.[49] The English release of Final Fantasy X-2 won the Seventh Annual Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences award in 2004 for "Outstanding Achievement in Character Performance" in recognition of the character Rikku.[65] So we are definitely not alone in your love of this game.

The battle system in the game is really nice and is a throwback to the job system.

For some reason 10-2 has some real hate going on and I've never been able to get why. The gameplay was solid. I know that some didn't care for the songs or maybe the perceived cutesy story but there is so much more to that game if you play it for reals. There is also the continuation of one of the most tragic love stories in any FF, regardless of any heartless people who say that watching the end of FFX incited no emotion within them.
The job system in particular is really well done and offers a huge incentive for job based game junkies like dis guy here *double thumb point to myself*
Haters gonna hate... Tay Swift FTW.

Dress spheres super fun. Yuna in hot right jean shorts <---- lol really! Fun! Combat if entertaining and fast. Story is cutesy and up beat . Personally I like the songs in all the games, EVERYONE of them. I give it a definitely play it rating.

I agree with all of this. Is it just that Kaleb and Joe don't currently look kindly upon it that it seems like a lot of people don't like it? I usually only hear their opinions on it so I was surprised to see this many people say they enjoy it. I hope playing through it changes their minds somewhat at least. I agree big time with you that it really was a tragic love story. I think that's part of what makes this game and 7 so liked. They do the opposite of what you would expect; example one being killing Aerith permanently, then in FFX you play the whole game expecting there to be some happily ever after ending but instead you get the opposite.

Well the gameplay was good but the story wasn't that great and a lot of people including myself felt that certain things ruined the nice ending FFX had... Most FF sequels do this so I like to view them as standalone and not official ones in the series. so that way I can enjoy FF13 and then view 13-2 and 13-3 as having a separate "what if" spinoff sequels.
