Listening to the recent cooking episode made me think...Anyone heard of or been to an arcade bar? We have a few where I live, I've only been to one of them a few times. Lots of old arcade games, NES, N64.. it's pretty fun! I think it would be cool if they had a theme for their drinks too, like the Chocobo drink Joe and Kaleb made. (That sounded delicious!) But alas, they only offer regular old beer and mixed drinks

I've been to a few in the past and they were great mostly played Arcade games at them though. Never really seen any consoles.
If you want Final Fantasy themed drinks they have them in Japanese special FF themed bars. You have to be in Japan though...

Last century, the college I attended had a huge gaming area with a bar in it. That is the closest I have been to one. I used to do all my studying on the Tetris table.
Do Universities even have bars on them anymore?

I have been to only one and all sold was snacks like mms and kit kats to eat along with soda. It was a nice Internet cafe but there wasn't much to play during that time so it shut down after a year of small business.

The eorzean cafe is the one place we all want to visit if we could all afford a plane ticket to Japan and everyone meetup. That and the shop / cafe called artisio or something that is directly next to the square enix store in Japan.

I've never been to one myself but that's mainly because I don't really have people that are into gaming like I am who would come with. Their is a place I think called Gameworks that is close by Woodfield Mall in a suburb of Chicago.
It would be cool though if down the road kaleb and Joe organized a fan meet up at one of these places with forum members. Then we could all get to know each other in person while drinking and doing what we love best, GAMING.

Way way overpriced but yeah. Arcade boxes with cup holders build onto them makes for convenient drinking I didn't drink at the time but my friends had a blast. It was a really good night. It is right by Medieval Times which was a different friends bachelor party destination. Chicagoland. It's a decent place.

I've heard of Medieval Times too, sounds like fun. Speaking of, there is a Renaissance Fair in my town going on every weekend this month. I'm not going but I wonder what it's like. I'll probably go to Oktoberfest at the end of the month though.
