I used to buy one a year up until 2009. It used to be primarily Final Fantasy stuff, now finding a new interesting model is rare.

Would love if they started releasing more FF models myself, maybe release models from earlier games. Would love to see Edge or Shadow, might even fork some money to buy :-)

While i like the play arts and even own some myself, even a few of the super expensive ones like odin and shiva from 13. Id rather see them release more statues from Kotobukia. They usually call these Scupture Arts.

I love the PlayArts line- I'm an avid collector of Final Fantasy stuff, but they're so wicked expensive. The last one I bought was the Yuna for the X/X-2 HD release. I saw some FF VII ones being released- but the Red XIII was over $130. I did see an Aerith statue once- it was her in the City of the Ancients with the Lifestream all around her...and was about $400. *sigh* Bills suck, I just want to buy toys.

Think of it as an investment play-arts makes a specific figure for awhile but when they stop the value jumps, so lets say each time you buy, you buy 2 of that specific figure one to keep and 1 to sell when the price increases(usually doubles or triples), may take awhile but eventually you will make the money you spent back by selling the second in this way a friend of mine has accumulated an ungodly amount of these figures on a crap salary. I myself really want to get 1 figure for each FF6 characters

Gilgamesh....I am so, so jealous. Maybe I'll have to take a picture of mine as well lol. I see your FFVIII summons and am digging those, as well as that wonderful rendition of Lightning in the top left corner. Cloud with his bike is also amazing. I think the most notable figure I have is a replica of the Highwind. Had to order it from Japan, and I keep it in the box now because there are so many tiny wires and propellers that I fear some part of it will break. What exactly is the center figure? I can't zoom in on my computer and see it

I can totally understand not wanting it to break but if you got it you should show it. Perhaps get a nice glass case for it? There is a sub board in introductions for people to post their collection photos here: Your Final Fantasy CollectionI have some better photos of each statue/figure in the displays on there. The Center Piece from Ivalice (LOL!) is FF12's Belthier and Fran Kotobukiya. Some good photos on this site here: www.play-asia.com/final-fantasy-xii-sculpture-arts-pre-painted-pvc-statue-balthier/13/702sop

The ones still in the boxes I put up on the walls, the out of box ones are in various places around the house-Squall and Rinoa on my dvd stand, a collection of loose FF VII on the bookcase, and a delightful scene of Cloud surrounded by tiny My Little Pony figures in the living room. I don't think Cloud is happy there btw.
