I've watched the episodes you guys have been putting on youtube for the playthroughs of FFXI. I've noticed that dungeons are much different in this game and there don't seem to be many bosses just new and stronger monsters and enemies.
What did you think of the "final dungeon" and final boss in FFXI? I never played FFXI but I know the final boss Shadow Lord music and other FFXI music from Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Curtain Call on 3DS so I know the music is really good from what I heard.
Hopefully the expansions get better in terms of final dungeons and final bosses... from what I"ve seen on youtube they get pretty cool.

I really enjoyed the music of the shadow lord and a the feeling I got when you finally get to a boss in the game and realise all the hard work has finally paid off and I am finally here. Alright yes I got here now let's fight for the glory of the story. All I wanted to do was savor the music in that area because I knowbits absolute utter silence outside in the world of vanadiel until you do more of the expansions. Really looking forward to the next bastok missions and how they will roll out the story and hopefully about her boss or two.

I admit that my personal opinion is that the final dungeon and boss was the only time in the whole game so far that I have felt any tension or anxiety about facing a boss. Actually, it was the first time that I have felt that the dungeon had a proper boss. . .
Overall, that last dungeon crawl was easily the most "final fantasy" aspect of FFXI for me so far.

Yeah from what I've seen and heard the expansions continue this trend and the dungeons get more elaborate and unique and the there are more strong bosses to fight.
