Its been said many times by Square Enix that FF7's world is enormous to transition to 3D. It might not be as big as say GTA V but it does have more detail and a variety of areas and places you can enter which takes up a ton of space so it really is an incredibly large game even by today's standards.
Technically a Bluray disc is 25gb and if dual layered can hold 50gb.
Now there is such a thing as triple or quadruple layered Bluray discs that can hold 100gb or 128gb of storage which are used for 4K Ultra HD bluray movies.
So thoughts on this? Could we see 2 discs come with the FF7 Remake or even 3 like the original game? Or will they probably just use a quadruple layered disc or compress the game and then extract and install it to your PS4 HDD so it can fit a portion on the disc and another on your HDD?

Wow. The double, triple, and quad discs are something I didn't think I'd see resurface. This would be interesting. Could the modern gamer comprehend??

Nah, one disc and anything extra would be downloaded. And it will patch once a month :-)
