I was wondering I wat everyone's opinion was on wat kind of character do u prefer one who deals massive damage but is slow and inaccurate such as auron Steiner cyan and cloud..... The speedy swordsman and monk like tidus Sabin tifa amarantz and zell.....or my personal favorite the status ailment ones or thieves like Sabin Edgar zadaine Vincent wakka Locke yuffie rikku from 10 not 10-2 My ideal way is to have a thief and yuffie would have to win that just cause how early u can get her compared to rikku
And ide rather have a wakka as my main warrior over anyone in any final fantasy ive played because of his mastery of status effects he never misses his only flaw is his overdrives in my mind or blitzball to get his sigel Pick 2 please

Wakka best in any game I think plus rikku is great combo but yuffie is the best thief in any game because how early u can get her it would b zadaine if he wasn't also your character that does higher damage

I think Locke is the best thief in the series and you get him a lot earlier than Yuffie. Vanille is by far the best with status effects. I actually like both styles of character and they're both very necessary and sometimes can't function without each other. Vanille, Rosa, Rydia, or Vincent (with best weapon) are great at applying status effects but I also enjoy, like most people, the straight brutes like Fang, Cecil, Kain, Sabin, or Basch. Most of the heroes are pretty good at everything like Cloud, Lightning, Terra, or Vaan.

I like the fast swordsmen's like tidus. They have great balance which i like. Second choice would be same as yours with a wakka status ailment guy

My favorite, which is just insane, is Kain as the Holy Dragoon in FFIV: The After Years. Not only can Kain jump, hold knight swords, break the damage threshold, this guy knows white magic and can cast haste on himself. There weren't too many things that could withstand two shots of jump that were one after another. I think Fang is a replica of the original Kain but in female form and Cid slightly under Kain depending how you use the materia with him just to name a few more. For a second, I'm really into martial arts and I like all of the ninjas, monk, samurai characters. I don't know too many who didn't like them though.

The thief characters are generally my preference. Generally there more nimble, has the steal command, high evasion decent attack. Tidus in 10 is close to this but with how the spherre grid works anyone could be a thief in that game, i prefer Thieves from earlier games 1-6 as well at Yuffie in 7 and Zidane in 9.

My top would be the quick speedy guy like Tidus or Zidane. My second choice is the guy who hits hard but sometimes misses like Auron.
I tend not to play a very status effect heavy way. I tend to save status effects only for certain boss fights when they come in handy... and most bosses are immune to a majority of the effects.

Thief class for sure. Rikku in FFX (you can p much solo the entire game with her, dark aeons and all) showed me how good the class can really be with knowledge of the game.

If we are talking planned attack or full frontal attack I'm always going with full frontal attack as a warrior. I prefer blocking the damage over trying to avoid it. Too much work. Now if someone some where incorporates the speed of a ninja with a warrior then that's what I would pick super speed mixed with super strength.
