It's just so so hard to find Japanese music where the singer is on pitch and doesn't keep throwing awkward engrish into their songs. Although I will happily watch AKB48's Heavy Rotation video with the sound off.... That second link is a pretty darn good one, I'll admit.

The first one sounds good, but I feel really really weird watching the video.

I'll admit, some Japanese hard rock isn't bad. But is it weird to want to know what the gender of the band members are?

Now now, I don't care IF they are one gender or the other, BUT If I go "hey that chick is cute", and it turns out to be a dude, I will be very very angry.

If you want Japanese rock, try an 80s hair band called "Loudness." If that name isn't cool, I don't know what is. For a mind-trip Jpop song, go to YouTube and search "pon pon pon." If anyone gets a chance to watch it, let me know what you think. My buddy went to Japan recently and showed me this....wow.

So, Gammon... That Baby Metal song was pretty sweet. Its not Baby Metal, but I am hooked on both Do As Infinity and Shoji Meguro. I guess I would call them JRock. Usually if there is a rockin' sound that I catch on an anime, I will look into the band. This is also not Baby Metal, but I always recommend In Extremo to people. A German Folk/Metal band for lack of anything to label them with. Harps, Bagpipes, Crunch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys2ibOOP8IY&list=RDys2ibOOP8IY#t=42There early stuff basically had them playing the roles of travelling minstrels who swordfought in a field of fire. Always reminds me of the sword fight with Blank in ff9.
