That's true, this was a trophy before trophies were a thing. I've always felt the games after FFX don't do a good enough job of rewarding you from completing sidequests or beating optional bosses. At least in the older games you could get something tangible, even if you didn't need it. Yeah, like the Proof of Omega from FFVIII. I mean, by the time you're strong enough to kill the superboss, you don't need any more weapons or items, but it's nice to be given something that recognizes your awesomeness. |

I was able to get it. I'm pretty sure my save file was up 90-150 hours. That was without going after each rare game and trying to get the all of the ultimate weapons.I've posted this before but, I was pretty irritated by the drop rate. I think I rage quit when I was trying to get a 99 level Chocobo to appear so I could have a possible chance of getting an empyreal soul to make the Tournesol. That game is not made for completionists, it's way too tedious.

Honestly I got Order at about 180hrs, the rest we're just from trying to get the rare equipment. Not bad for a first Playthrough without knowing what to do for the rare game.

I attained the Order of Ambrosia on my second play through of the game back in 06. I actually just completed the game last night for the 5th time and really thought about going after the Order of Ambrosia again. I became so frustrated with dealing the black orbs in the Pharos last night, and I already reached level 99, I decided to just complete the story. XII has such a great story, I wish it wasn't so much work or I'd start another play through. It's a good thing I have all of the cut scenes in a movie like format so I can just enjoy the story. Hence my user name and profile pic, Gabranth is the man! They should have let him kill Vayne at the end. I did end up defeating all of the clan centurio marks, attained all 13 espers, defeated of the 'extra' marks like Hellwyrm. I left some the unnecessary hunt club missions alone and didn't take on Omega. Again reached level 99, got the zodiac spear Excalibur and the tournesoul, I was good to go.
