Don't forget to change formation after every battle when grinding in the Omega ruins. You need a first striker in the front row so that he/she can swap in Yuna in case you get jumped by a Malboro.
I was doing so well, too... But then I got lazy. Two hours and 50+ sphere levels (plus the time adding nodes and working my way around the grid with 4 characters) gone.

same happened to me lost 2 hours too. From then on I stayed near the entrance and saved after every battle. Those blue Marlboloros are plain evil especially if they surprise attack you.

I still kept forgetting to move Auron to the front row. I ended up putting First Strike on Tidus's 3AP weapon. That way if I did forget to move Yuna back and Auron up, I could still Flee (which I had to do at least twice).
Time to find the rest of the Dual Horn type creatures so that I can fight Juggernaut or dodge lightning.

The Great Malboros are the worst, so I just stick to the front of the Omega Ruins for my grinding and killing Mimics for gil.
