Bought PS1 for Final Fantasy 7
Bought N64 for Mario 64
Bought NES for Super Mario Bros 1 and 3.
Bought SNES for Super Mario World
Bought Genesis for Sonic the Hedgehog
Bought PS2 for Kingdom hearts and Final Fantasy.
Bought Gamecube for Smash Bros Melee
Bought Ps3 for Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15.
Going to buy PS4 for the same reason I got a Ps3....

You could add Persona 5 to that list also (I know at least it will see a release on the system). I want to claim that the Ps3 got shafted on releases, but I don't think that would be accurate statement. It feels that way, though, when I look at KH, Persona, and FF (sorry, 13 did not feel like FF to me). |

Sega dreamcast for Sonic the Hedgehog Psx for Spyro 2 Ps2 Burnout 3 Ps3 Resident Evil 5 Psp Chains of Olympus and Crisis Core GBA Pokemon Blue N64 Turok and Star Wars Pod Racer PC: League of Legends and Steam I had that pod racer game on pc. That might have been the best thing to come from the prequels. |

Funny story my friend's dad was biking one day and found an N64 cartridge for Star Wars Pod Racer N64 on the road. He picked it up and brought it home and we started playing it lol.
Game was really fun.

My threadomancy skills are just warming up.
I got the NES for my birthday, so I can't say I got that system for anything. I suspect my dad REALLY bought it so he could play Zelda.
I got the Genesis for Sonic the Hedgehog
I got N64 for Shadows of the Empire
I got a Playstation purchased WITH Final Fantasy VII for obvious reasons
Years later, I bought my PS2 WITH Final Fantasy X
PS3 was purchased WITH Final Fantays XIII (see the pattern here)
PS4 was purchased for Infamous: Second Son (Yeah, I liked that series)
For a good long while, it was really fun and a tradition to bring the console and Final Fantasy game to the register.
