So, another FF X/X-2 remake? What are they going to call this, the SHD remake? the PS4K remake?
Seriously, this is getting out of hand. Are we really to believe that they're doing this for the fan, or is this the prime example of the fan getting the sheep's wool pulled over our eyes and we're to forget about the complete flop that is PSNow? Weren't we supposed to be able to play ALL old PS1/PS2/PS3 games through the streaming service? The prices are terrible, the game selection is poor, and I'm getting pretty sick and tired of having to buy new versions of everything.
Edit: and at 50 Fucking dollars? Thanks Squeenix, I'll just bend over and open wide.

I seem to have said something rather similar to that yesterday. Either way though, I'm not going to get it. I already have both of them on my ps2.

I thought the Kingdom Hearts Remakes where kind of wonky. The released the remakes on PS3, but the new one is coming out on PS4. I figured they would want them all to be on the same system. That way new fans who bought 3 would go back and buy he previous games. By releasing them on PS3, they were marketing the games to the people who already owned them.
Example, the PSOne era. I played IX and then went back and grabbed all the rereleases of earlier games as they came out for the system. Same thing for Persona. I played P3P and then grabbed the P1 and P2 because they were released on the same system.

After thinking about it for a few hours, I'm maybe seeing some silver-lining:
Could there be a Steam Version coming out now, as well? IX has been oft-rumored for a long time, and X has never been mentioned (to my knowledge), but with 3, 4, vii, viii, xiii, xiii-2 all on steam, mayhaps we see more releases?

Are either of you hosts gonna play the HD ones? Would be neat to hear the separate opinion of the person playing the international one versus the original

I all ready have the PS3 version. And I'm good with that. Besides, I'm having enough trouble beating that darn Chocobo Race on the PS3 version. If I ever manage to beat it, I know for sure I'll never want to do it again.

I already have it on PS3 and PS Vita. I wish they would make some kind of deal for people who have already bought it. Some sort of discounted upgrade for loyal fans. But, knowing Square-Enix, that won't happen.

If I ever manage to beat it, I know for sure I'll never want to do it again. That race took me like 8 hours of constant playing to beat. I got tons of practice now so I can easily beat it. The thing about PS4 is that is has Share play feature for friends you have online. So you could technically just share FFX at that part with a friend and they could do that part for you.

Makes me want to tear my hair out.

That is funny because I could never do the Lightning Dodging but the Chocobo Race is hard but after a lot of practice its just luck and muscle memory for me. I would do the Chocobo Race part for you if you could do the Lightning Dodging for me. That way we'd both get the requirements for all the ultimate weapons.

As a response to the original message I don't think its that big a deal. If you have it you don't need to get it. Besides its just like how they release games on multiple systems anyway, like when they brought force unleashed to ps3, xbox360, wii, and ps2. They didn't need to bring it to ps2 but they did for the people who didn't want to upgrade yet. The ps4 version is for people who didn't get it yet because they knew it was coming. If you want it for the system get it if you don't, then don't. I truly hope they bring all the games to PC. They have done well so far with the ones they have on steam. I'd really like to see 6, 9, 10, 12, and 15 make it to steam and just PC in general.

SE has been money hungry for years now, half the time they dont even know what theyre doing. FFXIV's original release a good example. They crapped a horrible game out and just expected everyone to love it. They do this with everything now.. just ignore it or buy it.
