I "finished" the first game. The game is fun, but I agree with Mech, I don't know why this came recommended to me as someone who likes the persona games. Yeah, it has a visual novel kind of feel, but nothing that felt like a Social Link. I am a little bummed by this format of the game, though. I cannot jump between the three games. I have to play each chapter of each game in order.
So, even though I finished the first game, I cannot play the second game unless I finish the optional 5th chapter that was added to the DS version of the game. I got about halfway through that chapter, but got frustrated with Luminol and Fingerprinting. Yeah, those are cool, but that is not the type of game I am looking to play. It was frustrating enough with the CSI game I played on PS2 and even crazier with Heavy Rain. At least Heavy Rain had a dark story, but why the heck am I changing a diaper in a video game when I have to do that in real life?
Now the final bummer about this game is that I cannot pass it on to someone else. The Trilogy was only available as an eShop download for 3DS. At least with other games I buy, I can try them and then pass them on to someone who might appreciate it more or get more enjoyment out of it then I did.
So, now to decide to crack open the Vita and start playing Golden, Continue with the 3DS and play Conception II (and see if I move on to Persona Q), go back to the PS3 and play either Xillia II or Saint's Row IV, or actually touch some of those other PS3 games that have been sitting as data on my PS3 for so many years (Little Big Planet 2 and Infamous 2 free games with Sony was hacked a few years ago, GTA IV side stories, or Rock of Ages).
