I was wondering if anyone else has a favorite piece of FF merchandise. It could be something that you either own or you wish you could own. And it could be anything from as small as a keychain to a full sized statue of your favorite character.
My favorite piece of FF merchandise is something that I own. When I first got my job, I was so excited about having money that I got a bit crazy when it came to spending it. Which is how I came to buy a full-sized replica of Masamune, Sephiroth's signature sword. It is longer than I am tall, but it's so awesome and definitely impresses people whenever I show it off.

Probably my limited edition Dissidia PSP Bundle. Came with a special white PSP with artwork on the back, leather case with FF Dissidia logo on it, stickers and a soundtrack and other cool stuff. Also my limited edition white FF13 PS3. Stuff I want to get are: A necklace of Squall's Griever from FF8 and that necklace that Snow wears and gives as a gift to Serah in FF13. finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Engagement_NecklaceI already made up my mind that if I ever date and become seriously involved with another FF fan I might consider giving her one of those necklaces as a gift... geeky? yes. BUT hopefully she would like it. I also really want to get a high quality Cloud/Sephiroth and Vivi Play Arts Kai figure one day and maybe a Buster Sword replica too. Thats amazing that you have a masamune replica!

I wanted to get a Buster sword after I got Masamune so badly, but I got responsible with my money not long after, so I never made the commitment. And now I live in a small apartment. It was hard enough finding a place to store Masamune, I'd have no room for a giant like the Buster sword.

I'd like some of those Play Arts figures.
But overall I feel like Square does a bad job of merchandising their games. Most of the FF merchandise I see is either a knock-off or low quality. Square should make some more official merchandise for their games and release it during the initial game launch.

Every year at Comic Con I tried to get the latest Play Arts mini figs. I stopped after three sets, but am still tempted to get the set of little guys from FFXI. Forgot the races name. I think my favorite piece is the Rikku from X, probably because I can never find it :-)

That would be sweet but the batman games right now are awesome.

That would be sweet but the batman games right now are awesome. Umm... Have you even played Batman Arkham Origins? that game was a buggy glitchy mess. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were made by the same good developers but Origins was made by some horrible developers. Upcoming Arkham Knight game will be good though. But I would have taken a Nomura Batman game over Arkham Origins any day.

I have a few Play Arts figures that I love, those are probably the best merchandise they can produce.
I also have some collector's editions, and those recently have been pretty sweet.
One Thing I wish would have come stateside was the Trading Card game. It looks super awesome, but I have no idea how to play it because the cards and instructions are in Japanese.
I agree though, American merchandising is sub-par (to no-par), but overseas, they do a fantastic job.

Nomura for the artwork. Not the best director though.

Nintendo powers strat guide for FF1. It was my gf brothers she stole it from him to piss him off sometime in the early 90's. She stuck it in the bottom of her closet and eventually started reading it then playing the games. Which created a near perfect human counterpart to me where we read strat guides and write notes in the borderes. It's completely full of edits from where she played the game over the years and found different things that work a little better than the guide. She's way more meticulous with the ff series than I could ever hope to be.
