Don't know if anyone else is interested in doing this, but I'm going to watch 365 movies (none of which I've seen before) this year. On top of a final fantasy every 1 to 2 months, this should be a very antisocial year lol.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues 13. Love and Other Drugs 14. El Mariachi 15. Desperado 16. Enemy 17. Jarhead 18. Fear and Loathing in Las Vagas 19. Four Weddings and a Funeral 20. Way of the Dragon 21. The Interview - 5/5 for free speech! 22. The Grand Budapest Hotel 23. Once upon a time in Mexico 24. Boyhood 25. Gran Torino 26. Bad Taste 27. Fear and Desire 28. Stray Dog 29. Hoop Dreams 30. The Wrestler 31. Metropolis 32. Much ado about Nothing 33. Sanjuro 34. Kingdom of Dreams and Madness 35. Sanshiro Sugata Part II 36. A Fistful of Dollars 37. *yawn* such casuals. Get on a real Cinephile level like me I've been watching a minimum of 2-3 movies every single day for the past 8 years. My IMDB movie's I have watched list is in the thousands. Why do I do this? Because aside from videogames I really love watching movies. btw I recommend you create an IDMB account so you can rate movies you watch and keep track of a list of all the movies you have watched. Its really nice to go back and see all the movies you have seen.

2-3 is too many for me, if I work for 10-12 hours, that leaves me 4 to watch movies. Plus, I need to beat the FF's. 1 a day on average will do fine. Plus, I don't really like to pause movies; and watching 2-3 means watching them in chunks and not really paying too much attention to them, to me.

Yeah same I never watch a movie that I know I can't finish in 1 sitting. I hate having to stop or pause a movie.

I tried to do 100 new films in a year about two years back, think I got to 70 something. It was a certainly an enjoyable year that's for sure. It was tough picking films that I hadn't seen when choosing a film to watch with my girlfriend of the time. Love the idea Joseph, so to keep you motivated and to provide you with some fodder, here are some films I'd recommend (for different reasons), you might have seen some of them but I tried to suggest some different ones.
1. Primer (2004): Amazing small production film about time travel, the lead actor funded, shot and produced it all.
2. Inside Man (2006): Denzel Washington and Clive Owen.
3. Kill List (2011): It's a weird one, British made and very grim/gritty. The less you know about it going in the better apart from the basic idea- the two leads are ex-hitmen.
4. 28 Days Later (2002): Outstanding British "Zombie" film, if you've not seen it before now definitely give it a look, especially if you like the genre.
5. A Bittersweet Life (2005): A favourite of mine.
6. The Purge (2013): Underrated thriller. Instant fav.
7. The Purge Anarchy (2014): Very different to the first film, but equally as enjoyable.
8. Black Snake Moan (2007): Samuel L and Christina Ricci, great character story. Overlooked.
9. Rampart (2011): A slow-burner, Woody Harrelson is superb as always.
10. Natural Born Killers (1994): If you havn't seen this, I cannot recommend it enough.
Enjoy!

Primer (good movie) Inside Man (Jodie Foster was great in that) Kill List (Its like a british version of A Serbian Film... toned down but its still brutal) 28 Days Later (good modern zombie movie) Bittersweet Life (yes very good I like asian films) The Purge (meh I thought it was horrible) The Purge Anarchy (I thought it was slightly better but still meh) Black Snake Moan (Ok movie I guess, good performances from the cast I prefer Ricci in something like After.Life though) Rampart (really? the movie wasn't exactly praised by critics, it was ok at best there are better Harrelson films) Natural Born Killers (hell yeah this movie is great Mickey and Mallory for life) Fun fact about Natural Born Killers I got in serious trouble as a kid for having a copy of that movie that was discovered by my parents before I could watch it. I was like grounded for months and I still found a way to watch it The way they reacted though was crazy... its like I did something really really bad but it was just a movie.

I know it wasn't praised but it wasn't really panned universally either. A critic I trust and like didn't give it a glowing review, or even a review that was what you would call positive but I for one enjoy the film. There are indeed better Harrelson films, but I felt this one was somewhat overlooked. Also, as for the Purge, personally I think it's a better film than critics gave it credit for. Pretty much a thriller masquerading as an action film. I know it wasn't praised but it wasn't really panned universally either. (I see Into the Woods and Imitation game on there, knowing they are in theatres but still being able to acquire it) I did this when I was in college, now I would find it really difficult, but I do make it a point to see as many as I can.

I prefer theatrical, but I have the 3 DVDs at a time deal with Netflix so I try to get those watched too. Gotta see Selma and American Sniper before they go.
