So i started the race needed to get the sigil for the ultimate weapon for Tidus. Ya know the one where you have to get 0.00 on the race. Started it at 11 and finally did it at 2:15. What i want to know is how long did it take everyone of you?
I also hope the hosts will be doing this race. Would be fun to hear them rage about it.

Took me like 3 or something hours of constant playing before I started to get real good and finally beat it.

I got the HD Remaster last year and I'm STILL trying to do it. I even have a route map I got online.
I'm trying for a platinum in this game. I am NOT looking forward to blitzball. (Not least after hearing Auroch Style..! SOOOOO disturbing. And I like the gay stuff!)
Are we talking about the races in the field or under the temple?

I think the field, though the temple was rough, too. I got through Blitzball by hiding behind my own goal with the ball. I think they dropped the ball with that mini game (pun intended?). A 3D pull with 2D rules was very frustrating. They also could have made it a two-player game. That way a friend could jump in while you grinded the mini game through 3 seasons.
As for the fan fiction, I am sure if you look hard enough you could find some Chocobo Racing slash fiction :-)

Oh yeah took me an hour to get the race under the temple. The camera angle screwed with me a few times. Blitzball i find to be easy. I looked at a guide for good players. What i do is i get the ball and pas it to Tidus, wait for him to get right near the goal and then use Jecht Shot. I score almost everytime unless the goalie has has that one move where he gets a random ammount of catch.

Let me put it this way. I've been playing Final Fantasy X since it was released. In all my save files, I've easily got 400 hours put into this game. The number of times I've gotten the Sun Sigil? Once.
Everyone always says "Just keep trying" and I just say "You don't understand...!"
The chocobo race is by far the hardest thing for me to do in FFX, and usually reduces me into a rage within a few minutes.

My advice is to stay to the right! There is a sequence of balloons TGA appear on the right hand side that you can get easily. It's also VERY important that you beat the trainer around the corner. If you are ahead of the trainer after the first turn the birds will hit him instead of you. The last straightaway is kind of a crapshoot, just try to avoid the birds at all costs because it is more costly to get hit by a bird than get a balloon. And good luck! This can take hours, but it's totally worth it!

Fuck this race! I fucking hate everything about this mini game. The controls are god awful, the camera proceeds to fuck me as hard as possible, and the birds! Oh God, the birds!!!!

I did finish with a 0.0 and get the trophy though. So there's that at least. Now to move on to the remiem temple race...
