In case you don't know, this game actually has two different endings depending on if you played the Japanese original or the localized English version. (Sorry, can't speak for the other languages.)
It's really only one line that really changes the meaning of the ending scene. Since I'm talking about the ending, I'm just going to put a big SPOILER WARNING right here.
In the American localized version of the game, as Tidus is fading away, Yuna runs towards him and falls right through his body since he no longer physically exists. She stands up and tells him "I love you." And Tidus embraces her despite the fact that he's fading away. It's a huge tear-jerker and I definitely was crying during that moment.
But in the Japanese version, Yuna's line to Tidus is not "I love you." Instead she tells him "Thank you."
I know a lot of people who prefer the Japanese version of the ending, but I personally prefer the American version more. "Thank you" just seems a little... blah... to me for a guy that you love fading into non-existence. But what do you guys think?

Hmm, I knew about this but I never really thought about which one was the better ending. Let me think on this, I'll get back to you!

Is there a Star Wars ending where Tidus just says, "I know."?
If I heard Thank You from Yuna, my mind would have immediately thought it was a game thing. Somethin along the lines of that my choices did build up enough I a relationship with her or that I had "chosen" one of the other females in the band.
I definitely prefer the I Love You.

Hmm... I was unaware of this. I wonder why they changed it. I almost find that more interesting than the difference itself. I'm a sucker for a love story so I think I love you is better, and at least in the English version is believable. Doesn't come out of nowhere as it can do in other games.
