Does anyone think this is a possibility, or even a good idea?
I realize that FFXII is the next logical game to get the HD treatment, and I would be super stoked on that, but I would love to see Crisis Core play in HD on a big screen and with a bunch of trophies to collect. I just don't really see it happening unless it's bundled with other games, and in that case, I guess Dirge would make the most sense.
Anyone have thoughts on this?

I'd buy it. Even though it was really just a lot of the same missions over and over, I still had a fun time playing. I'm not sure if SE would make an HD version though.

I have a feeling for the next big FF7 series anniversary they might do a FF7 series HD pack with Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core with Advent Children together as a pack or something.

Obviously, I feel like almost every one of us on this board enjoy these games enough to straight up petition an HD remake of any of these games. There are some things to consider.
First, popularity of this game. I do not know of the stats. I did play this game... for a while. I could not get into it. Something about this and Dissidia, though the only "new" games for the psp, that I just couldn't dig into.
Second, how difficult, and ultimately how expensive, it would be to create a remake. The only successful psp remakes I can think of off the top of my head is the God of War games. I am certain there are more that I am not mentioning.
Third, there seem to be a couple of things happening that may determine the future of Square Enix. The success of Type O, the success of this FFVII port to the PS4, and even the port of X/X-2 to the PS4.

I don't think Crisis Core would be up for an HD release yet. Maybe it's just my nostalgia speaking, but I think that the graphics still stand up for the moment. Granted, I haven't played this game since I lost my PSP years ago, but my memories of it are that it looked pretty good and it doesn't need an HD treatment.
I'm much more in favor of updating the graphics of games that were exceptional in the day, but whose graphics have not aged well.

Well most popular PSP games were brought to consoles in an HD version. God of War 1-2 PSP wer brought to PS3 in HD Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep PSP was brought to PS3 in HD Final Fantasy Type 0 HD is being brought to PS4/Xbone in HD I'd say it is very likely for Crisis Core to get ported in HD for consoles. |

It's still a great looking game for sure, but I figured since they gave Birth By Sleep the treatment that it wouldn't be totally unrealistic. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part but I really want it to happen! |
