It is most likely that I will be playing this game on the PS3. My computer did not make the benchmark, and I would rather not buy a new system to play a subscription game. I hear it is awesome to play FFXIV on the Vita through the PS4, and that is something I would totally due, but does the game run find on the PS3? The only issues I found doing a quick search is that some folks complain about the PS3 frame rates.
Has anyone played or seen this played on the PS3? Thoughts?

IF you can only play on PS3 then get it. Its ok but it really is barebones and if you are planning on getting a PS4 I would suggest waiting to buy it until you get a PS4. That is what I'm doing  Ps4 version runs at a higher and constant framerate, includes more UI features and loads faster and is just better to use. The PS3 version is still ok just not the best. |

Ah, I did not know about the missing UI features. Can you tell me more or direct me to an article that you found informative? I was under the assumption that I would be playing the same game as the one on the PS4 or PC, but with downgraded graphics and a little bit of lag.

The PS3 has limited UI options and the few that you do get you want to turn off because having a lot of menus and stuff on your screen make the game run a lot slower on the ps3 version but it doesn't affect the ps3 or pc versions. Source? All my friends that have the game. |

I played on the ps3 version, the lag and load times arent fun..
