After buying my Vita, it came to my attention that PSTV can also play Vita Cartridges. The bells and whistles on the handheld are cool, but I would have gladly paid half as much to get something stationary.
But then I started reading reviews. PSTV seems to be lacking in many areas. Does any one own one? Have the complaints I read about on Gizmodo been addressed? Or does it still only play half the games and still have many apps that just plain don't work?

I have done some research into this myself. In the end, I was not convinced it was worth it. Let me preface this by stating that this is my opinion and not based on a first hand account.
Streaming from Vita/PS4 comes at a resolution cost. They simply don't look as nice via PSTV. There is not a lot of game support. There just isn't enough games for me to consider it. Sony has too many peripherals and are spread thin. It seems that they should focus on the consoles instead of half-assing peripherals like this because they do not give it the same attention.
