PS3/Vita/PS4 remastered version
original ps2 version
I prefer the original version of Besaid it has that nice background sound that is not present in the remastered version.

The HD version is a little more atmospheric and subtle, but I still prefer the original.

The HD sounds sadder while the original sounds optimistic. I prefer the original, but only because that is how my mind works. Memories get attached to things, and the original is what causes all those memories to flood back.

I mean, realistically I think the HD version is a better arrangement, but I still prefer the original for the fond sense of nostalgia that it provides.

I like the original arrangement better, probably because I heard it first and the HD version didn't sound right after having heard the first one. Had the arrangements been switched I would probably feel the opposite.

Based in memories and how they make me feel I like the original for its subtle optimistic tones as many of you noted. The song gives off a relaxing feeling overall as would a island be felt as. As for the remastered version it's overall a great rendition of the original along with some synth and quick paced beats not found in the original that give off a calm buy subtle sadder tone but not tears in eye sad more like this place is the final place in a persons life and were the story comes slowly to a conclusion. Overall my vote for between each one is a 8.4/10 for the original and for the remastered its a 8.2/10 for what I feel about these two wonderful songs.

I'd have to go with the original mainly because the nostalgia related to it for me puts it over the top. On the other hand I do like what the HD version brings to the table atmospheric wise
